We’re back at the Goat Shed Independent Market this Saturday, the 25th July! 🐐☀️

The temperatures may be more reasonable this time around, but we’re still very much in a summery kind of mood here, as reflected in this new menu 😍 This time you’ll find our ever-popular Makroudh (can never go wrong with a classic) and the Tunisian citronnade everyone raved about at our last event 🍋

But we’re also introducing options we haven’t offered before, like Kalb El Louz (which has been my favourite Algerian treat for as long as I can remember) and Boussou La Tmessou, literally translating to “kiss him without touching him” because of how delicate they are ✨

Finally, our Zaalouk is returning to our menu to make the most of tasty summer vegetables 🍆🍅

Our freshly made Msemmen will be waiting for you this Saturday at the Goat Shed 😍

Msemmen are hands down the most unanimously loved breakfast staple across Algeria and Morocco, and for good reason! Their taste and texture are so unique that it’s hard to do it justice with simple words, so you really should come over to try them and see what all the fuss is about 😋 we’ll also be serving traditional Maghrebi mint tea, which goes perfectly with Msemmen (in fact I don’t think I’d ever have Msemmen without mint tea, it’s just wrong 🤭)

If you’ve never tried North African food before, these (and the other goodies we’ll be offering) will definitely make you want to try more, it is such an overlooked cuisine ✨

We’re sooo looking forward to this market and to hopefully seeing you all there 💖

We’ll be at the Goat Shed Independent Market on Saturday 27th June! 🐐☀️

To keep things interesting for everyone, we created a new menu for this one. Alongside our classic makroudh and roasted onion hummus, we’re introducing our chocolate & orange blossom bun with homemade pistachio praline icing, completely handmade and a naughty treat unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere 🤤

But the real star of the show is our msemmen, it doesn’t get more Maghrebi than that 🧡 A cross between a flatbread and a pancake, msemmen has a unique texture and taste that everyone across North Africa goes absolutely nuts for 😍

Come and find us for a free cup of Maghrebi mint tea with any purchase over £4 🫖

Last weekend’s order 🧡
I had such a great time putting this order together for a lovely new client who found us via our website!

The order included:
- A mixed dip platter with slata mechouia, omek houria, our house hummus and kesra (Algerian flatbread)
- Moroccan salad
- A rolled aubergine and lentil kefta tagine of my own creation, with khobz dar to scoop it up
- Gazelle horns (which she said she hadn’t eaten since visiting Morocco in the 70s!)

I got so caught up in the cooking that I completely forgot to take pics of the tagine, typical! But I promise it looked and tasted incredible 🥰 (ignore the solidified olive oil on the dips please 🤣)

Thank you to this lovely customer and to everyone who has placed an order or come to one of our events, your trust in me and in Maghrebi means everything 🧡

If you’d like to place a catering order, get in touch via the link in bio or send us a DM 💌
