With Mr & Mrs Baker-Dale’s passion for music and dance the soundtrack to their day had been so carefully considered and their choices were perfect for every aspect.

Our bridal party arrived from home with Celebration Cars in immaculate classical inspired vehicles setting the scene for a day full of classical elegance. What could be more appropriate transport for your bridal party than a “mascot”? Our bride and her proud father followed in their Landaulette arriving safely at Southwood Hall where in the preceding hours we desperately tried to achieve the open-air ceremony they wanted but the weather toyed with our plans.

Just as we committed to moving decor outside a final light shower put paid to our hopes, luckily our gorgeous thatched barn is the most stunning inside ceremony space and we were soon ready for the Groomsmen to find their place at the top of the lovely dry aisle. A white aisle carpet from KWF was laid beneath a dramatic drop curtain and between stunning urns of beautiful blooms from Jasmines Flowers Little Plumstead with posies tucked into chair ribbons lining the way. The scent from delicate peonies was decadent setting such a romantic space ready for our ceremony to take place.

Martin’s nerves grew with every song that played in anticipation of his Bride’s arrival. With thoughts gathered and final preparations made. 🎶 I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day🎶. As the instrumental version played we couldn’t help but sing along as there couldn’t have been a more fitting bridal march chosen.

🎶I guess you’d say, what can make me feel this way? My girl 🎶. Our grooms nerves instantly melted away once he caught sight of his bride in her stunning bridal gown with lace overlaying a sheer bodice that flowed into layers upon layers of tulle. Emma’s hair was beutifully curled, a sparkly hairpiece holding it back from her face matching the sparkles within her dress. Looking effortlessly radiant our bride slowly but surely made her way down the aisle to stand beside her husband-to-be. At 2.28pm our couple were finally reunited at the top of the aisle.

Giving his lovely daughter away Dad Gary gave her a sweet kiss before finding his seat as their ceremony was underway. With bright blue skies finally appearing behind them their ceremony was beautiful and made so special by the personal touches added. Rose felt priveledged to read their favourite story “Guess how much I love you” that was delivered with panache as children and adults alike looked on enchanted by the tale. As our Registrar read “Marry your best friend” time stood still for just a little while as guests appreciated the special moment.

🎶 Let’s stay together. I’m so in love with you. Whatever you want to do is alright by me ‘cause you make me feel so brand new and I want to spend my life with you 🎶 entertained guests as the marriage schedule was signed before Natalie Cole sang them back down the aisle 🎶…this will be the one I’ve waited for…🎶 and although slightly later than planned their gorgeous ceremony was complete.

A waiting Pimm’s and Prosecco were appreciated as our couple headed out under the bright blue skies as the song played through 🎶you brought a lot of sunshine into my life🎶 exactly on cue. Guests were ushered towards baskets of confetti preparing to shower our couple with love and petals.

In a day that can feel frenetic spending some quiet time together can make for one of the most memorable parts and so our couple made the most of the stunning car at their disposal and now, with the roof drawn back they went for a drive to enjoy those precious moments. Guests were well looked after enjoying the drinks and canapés offered to the soundtrack curated by our couple. No detail was overlooked in their planning as touches of the engagement in Taormina, Sicily were included with delicious wild mushroom and tarragon arancini on truffle aioli, limoncello spritz available at the bar and in intricate wooden table names reflecting their favourite places, so perfect for their favourite people to find their seats.

Our newlyweds were welcomed into the barn by best man Thomas as they danced their way through the barn to their rightful seats at the heart of their top table where Father of the Bride (and gym buff) Gary was first to say a few words. Thanking guests that had travelled from near and far to celebrate his funny, sporty, kind and selfless daughter on her special day. Life in a house with three women means he seldom has an opportunity to speak and so he made the most of every minute with his witty one liners (although he did keep it under 2 hours as threatened!). He couldn’t be prouder of the lovely young lady Emma has become as she goes into the next chapter of her life, nor to officially welcome Martin to their family at long last.

With the help of Tom the IT dude, Gary presented a side splitting slide show complete with gags, the Emmerdale soundtrack and plenty of photo props. He even presented our newlyweds with an origami house replica, one of his many specialty skills. Married for forty years himself, Gary had plenty of wise words for the newlyweds. Take heed Martin, if you forget your wedding anniversary once, you’ll remember it for the rest of your life! Happy wife, happy life and a sweet toast to love, luck and good fortune for the Bride and Groom.

Our bi-lingual Bride welcomed guests from the Netherlands in their native tongue, while Martin gushed about the wonderful wedding party that had helped them bring the day to life. If it wasn’t for Toni and Tony’s matchmaking skills, they wouldn’t even have been here! Who knew when they arrived for that double blind date 9 years ago that they would one day be married.

Martin was full of loving words for his beautiful Bride; she took his breath away when he first saw her, her beauty equal to her generous heart. Emma is the kindest woman Martin has known (except maybe when their is a game or sport involved when she becomes the beast from the East!. Her meals are full of love

Jokes seem to run in the family and so Martin had a special ‘Emma Joke’ ready “Did you hear about the two mobile phones that got married? The reception was amazing”🤣. Our couple are so well matched as Emma soon quipped “Martin works in IT, so he understands upgrades. Today he got the biggest one of his life; wife 1.0. No refunds, no warranty and definitely no uninstall or upgrade option” 🤣

Best man Thomas shared the honour he felt to be his brother’s best man and was even more impressed they managed to make it here on time as they are always naturally late. Emma has fitted with their family so well and brought fun to nine years of Christmases, parties and the many game nights. Brotherly tales of growing up when Martin proved he was kind and patient even when his boundaries were pushed - like the time Thomas chased him round the house with Snickers bar even though he’s allergic to nuts! Presenting our happy couple with artwork showing where they first met we are sure he is forgiven.

Speeches gave way to a sumptuous wedding breakfast as Broadland beef braised in Adnam’s ale, roasted chicken supreme and puy lentil Wellington were delivered to grateful guests. Topped off with lemon posset, chocolate brownie, vanilla cheesecake and ice cream sundaes for younger guests their first meal as husband and wife was complete just before The Claire Barker Band arrived to help them dance of the energy.

After mum’s wonderful cake was cut (and soon devoured) guests gathered to watch just how those dance lessons have brought our couple together. A romantic 🎶 When the night has come and the land is dark and the moon is the only light we see 🎶 (apart from the many magical fairy light softly twinkling overhead)soon blended to 🎶we gon boogie oogie-oogie, wiggle and dance🎶 as Fireball raised the tempo ahead of the bands first set.

A night enjoyed on the dance floor, refuelled by a sausage sizzle cooked under the barbecue lodge, was so befitting of their story and we can see where those moves were inherited from 🥰. Louis Armstrong was honoured to provide the final piece in the beautiful soundtrack to their day as for a final time everyone headed to the dance floor 🎶 We have all the time in the world. Time enough for life to unfold the precious things love has in store 🎶

We hope your feet are recovering from all the dancing and that you have had the best weekend of your lives surrounded by family and friends 🥰

What a wonderful day for the lovely Mrs & Mrs Macleod! If ever there was a day that suited a couple so well this gorgeous May day was it!

The bright colourful blooms carefully curated by our bride suited her bright sunny personality perfectly. The pops of colour added vibrancy to their day, while the combined family effort in bringing all the finishing touches together for them showed just how loved they are. Fairy lights echoed the twinkle in Lauren’s eyes while KWF’s light lined organza swags brought the glamour.

Our iconic Bride would have looked at home in a Sabrina Carpenter video, opting for a glamorous, vintage inspired look. Her timeless white, mikado gown skimmed her silhouette perfectly, falling into a long train that draped behind her. Intricate buttons ran from top to bottom and a thigh high split showed off glamorous high heels. A large touch of Lauren’s unique personality was added with a custom giant bow and elbow length satin gloves. Accessorising to perfection her pearl edged veil draped across her face matching her classic pearl earrings.

Bridesmaids led the way in powder blue, satin dresses matching the endless skies and complimenting their wildflower inspired bouquets. Flower girls scattered petals leading the way for our bride to enter on the arm of her very proud Dad. Curtis and Lauren both melted as with tears in their eyes their wedding ceremony began. It was truly beautiful; with laughter and personality shining through beneath the suns golden rays.

Dad was proud to entrust the love and care of Lauren to Curtis, as with a shake of hands and a kiss for his daughter he found his place with the rest of the family watching so proudly. Now hand in hand Registrar Mark encouraged Curtis to lift Lauren’s veil to reveal her beautiful face beaming up at him.

Lauren had been nervous about stumbling over her words so Curtis stepped up to the plate and went first. A high bar was set with his eloquent recital, guided through by our Registrar. The bar was matched by Lauren’s own words of love, worthy of a round of applause. At precisely 2.21pm they both declared ‘I do!’. There was a deep sigh of relief from Curtis as he could finally kiss his beautiful new wife!

Hand in hand they made their way back up the aisle before sneeking away for a moment just the two of them. While they sipped cold Prosecco guests formed a tunnel on the terrace ready to celebrate the newlyweds. As we welcomed the new Mr & Mrs Macleod they were showered with white confetti that swirled over the terrace in the light breeze.

Well and truly ready for an ice cold Corona from the terrace cooler, Lauren promised her girls that married or not, she’ll never change. We love her for loving the things she does and by being totally herself as a bride. Not once did Adam or Olivia who captured their day have to suggest snuggling, holding hands or gazing deep into each other’s eyes - our couple were so in the moment the love radiated from them both so naturally.

With guests heading inside the barn to find their seats from a gorgeous floral seating plan a few last minute photos were gathered before the energy was trully pumped as still enjoying “sweet nothings” our newlyweds made their way into the barn. It was time for the moment we had been waiting for; the speeches. We were honoured to introduce proud Father of the Bride up first, Peter. Peter couldn’t stop beaming about his beautiful, kind daughter Lauren. He was thrilled that guests had gone to so much trouble for their children; pitching in on the planning and joining them on the special day. There were simply too many people to thank individually! Who could be a better match for his one of a kind daughter? Curtis of course! Peter was full of love for his new son-in-law, a lovely lad who he couldn’t be more proud of.

Curtis was equally full of kind words for Peter and the welcoming family that have embraced him. Promises were made to always love and protect their little girl. Our charming Groom was well prepared to speak on behalf of himself and his new wife but determined to keep it brief smelling the delicious beef roasting in the kitchen. The happy couple were thankful for the beautiful Bridesmaids, the Best Men and all of those who had gathered to support their dream day.

Curtis was full of emotion as he spoke to his gorgeous Bride, complimenting how stunning she looked as she came down the aisle. The moment they met his life was changed for the better (even if he does have to do all of the washing up!). His partner, the love of his life, his greatest adventure. Curtis’ love for Lauren is deeper than he could ever describe but we could all see just how deep that is❤️

We were blessed with three best (and wise?) men. They gathered together by Top Table, Curtis looking slightly nervous about what may come! And rightly so, with Shaun up first.

His twin, his Best Man, and Curtis’ greatest role model, Shaun ensured that no secrets were spared! Being twins means they have a special bond and can read one another’s minds. Even so, Curtis couldn’t have anticipated the tales that Shaun would share. Wholesome family takeaways, slightly less wholesome movie nights, questionable massages and a fair few years of chasing the fairer s*x!

Shaun gave Lauren one last chance to do a runner but even her ‘Help Me!’ Sign couldn’t pull the lovebirds apart. Held against her will or not, Shaun always knew Lauren was a perfect pairing for his brother and that she’d fit right in with their fun loving family. She looked beautiful, having made considerably more effort than Shaun’s brother 😉

Jesting aside, Shaun couldn’t be more proud of his Brother. He’s finally found something great for himself - his Lauren. Shaun ensured that he won’t be missed in the newlyweds home, dedicating them a beautiful self portrait for their living room. The lucky pair! Finally, with the last brother married, he could toast them a happy ever after!

How much damage could Best Man Chris do in just a few minutes? Lauren and Curtis were relieved that cheeky Chris kept it short and sweet! Curtis, Curtis, Curtis… where do we start? Chris admires Curtis’ sense of great confidence, misplaced when it comes to his Adam Sandler haircut! There’s never been any shying away from the banter in their house full of lads. Despite the jokes these brothers share a close bond and Curtis has always been there for him and the kids.

Curtis has definitely met his match in Lauren; she’s kind hearted and quick witted. They really do bring out the best in one another. Chris couldn’t ask for anybody better suited to his brother and he was honoured to celebrate the newlywed pair with a toast to the new Mr and Mrs Macleod.

Last, but by no means least was Best Man Jordan. He had guests on their feet from the very start, with his comedy skit armed with props. Even Curtis’ beloved mattress made an appearance! He reminisced on their many great times growing up together; the laughs and the travels (although the less said about Magaluf the better!). Lauren didn’t get off lightly from his smart remarks, but despite her being too good for Curtis, Jordan was thrilled to finally bless their union.

With the opportunity to get his own back Curtis had nominated a guest from each table to be dressed as a Southwood Hall Chefs and collect sumptuous joints of roast beef from the kitchen to carve at their tables. Shaun may have over exerted himself on the football field but there was no getting out of serving his brother his wedding breakfast! As Yorkshire puddings, and bowls of vegetables headed out into the barn guests were soon joining in a delicious roast dinner topped with lashings of gravy.

As the wine continued to flow delicious Biscoff cheesecake was served completing the formalities of the day with a sweet taste. This time of year the terrace at Southwood Hall really comes into its own. Parasols and domed seats offer shade and the perfect vantage point for watching the energetic play football, hilarious group photos as guest try to climb onto our giant bench, garden games galore and of course the cattle meandering watching guests watching them 🐮☀️

capture.lounge were ready to do just that - capture guests having a great time and printing photos for them to keep as mementos. As East Anglian DJ prepared to lift the energy our couple cut the cake, a masterpiece lovingly baked by mum before heading his was to the dance floor. “At Last” was a sentiment well shared as their evening party began. The vibrancy of their day culminating in great energy into the early hours - as the guys tried to pull of iconic dance moves our love birds were in their own moment having had the best day of their lives 🥰

An end of the night cheers that meant so much xx. With an extra long weekend to enjoy your mini moon we hope you enjoy relaxing and reminiscing in the Cartshed Lodge - you so deserve it xx

🏰 Once upon a summer, in a kingdom of rolling Norfolk fields Bride Emily and the hero of her story Jonny finally said ‘I do’ 💍. Like pages lifted from a storybook yesterday we shared the kind of love young girls write about before they understand true love. Our tale began with a beautiful Bride, her dashing Prince Charming and the cutest little Princess 👑

Emily had always dreamed of a fairytale wedding and as her and Jonny drove down the grand driveway of Southwood Hall long long ago she knew she had found the place that fitted her dream. Every great fairytale deserves more than a single chapter so only three days of celebration would be befitting of such a dream wedding.

Chapter one began as they arrived at the grand Oak doors of the Barn on Tuesday, Emily stepped inside to see the wonders that awaited her in her bridal dreams. Imagine scene one - sparkling fairy lights creating such a magical feel and the crisp white linens just waited for her to add Champagne touches. Golden lettering on signage added the regal touch to complete a rich yet sophisticated scheme. The quicksand roses, astilbe, astrantia and baby’s breath added by The Florist Shop in crystal cut vases added a final touch of elegance with a little deliciousness added by our brides own touches - preparing personalised biscuits for each guest (with just a little help from M&S).

Whether by folklore, fate or a little bridal sorcery, the legendary buried sausage worked its magic for our loved up pair, ensuring heatwave temperatures of thirty four degrees for their special day. While the girls got ready in the Cartshed Lodge where their fairy godmother aka Michelle Bennett Make-Up Artist appreciated our own magical addition - air conditioning 😉 So many visitors were happy to spend time with our bridal party during the calm of the bridal preparations; a messenger from afar arrived on his noble steed just in time to save the day (an Amazon man) as the boys relaxed in the cool of Butlers.

The boys were soon heading to the barn - their beige summer suits donned and their buttonholes neatly in place (eventually 😉) it was time to greet their friends and family who had travelled from lands near and far.

Emily, a Queen of Hearts, was adored by friends and family for the heartshaped paper fans that had been left for them as they found their seats. Seated in rows, with views of blue skies and rolling fields, the arrival of the Bridal party was finally upon us. Wanting to keep the moment as special as her dream of a fairytale day she made her grand arrival on the arm of her proud loving brother. “Crazier” with mentions of blue skies and falling for the one we were ready for their ceremony and just let it flow, taking everyone where it wants to go…

Beautiful ladies in waiting, our Bridesmaids led the procession in their champagne gowns catching the light like something from a palace ballroom. Our smallest guests, Thea and Huxley took the opportunity to rest during the ceremony, soothed by the romantic music. Huxley was well away in the land of nod and didn’t even stir as he was carried down the aisle!

Jonny looked taken aback as he laid eyes on his Bride for the first time that day. Looking every inch a princess, Emily had chosen a gorgeous figure hugging gown that was definitely the one for her; but even she was surprised at how charmed she’d been by traditional, romantic lace that covered the dress completely. The delicate straps made it perfect for a warm day, and her accompanying long veil blew in the pleasant breeze that ran through the Barn, as she elegantly made her way down the aisle.

With one brother to walk her down the aisle and another equally handsome brother in matching dinner jacket waiting for a kiss at the end of the aisle, love truly surrounded our couple. Finally side by side with Jonny our couple waited with anticipation for any objections but befittingly time stood still. She clutched Jonny’s hands tight, him beaming in return at his radiant future wife. Our lovestruck couple had chosen a ceremony as personal as their love for one another, celebrant Jeanette guided their vows like the narrator of their love story while Registrar Mark made sure the event was suitably recorded.

‘Wherever we go, whatever we do. Whenever there’s me, I hope that there’s you’ Jonny’s aunt Lizzy had words of wisdom to share, during a sweet reading of ‘The Giraffe and The Monkey’.
‘In laughter and love, and in sharing your life.
In the arms of another as husband and wife.
So when you find someone who’s weird just like you
Who laughs when you’re stupid and makes you laugh too’.

The rings were presented by Jack, with love and due care and at exactly 2.22pm our couple officially became Mr and Mrs Bailey. Sealing their nuptials with a big kiss a showering of confetti on the terrace was the only way to celebrate!

The occasion was marked with trays of cool, refreshing drinks; Pimms capturing the quintessential English summer wedding, elderflower for those pacing themselves and crisp chilled bottles of beer. As guests mingled on the steps of the Barn, between photos, delicious canapes were circulated to stir our guests appetite; pommes dauphine, chicken and mozzarella lollipops and the cutest sugar cones filled with ice cream so well received on a scorching day.

Scene 2 was ready for our tale to continue. With dining tables replacing their ceremony space guests were soon ready to find their seats drawn in by the scent of rich onion gravy travelling across the terrace signalling time for a feast. With the candles lit to add an extra touch of romance and ice cool bottles of wine carefully placed on each table our guests were excited for the spoils that awaited them.

Mrs Bailey loves to make a grand entrance, so Emily made sure there were two - the aisle was never going to be enough! Their welcome into the barn was epic! Calvin Harris blasted from the speakers across the Barn as guests stood on their chairs and waved their napkins to welcome the newlyweds.

A sea of waitresses followed, carrying plates of delicious sausage and mash. Rich sticky toffee pudding followed as the perfect fuel to prepare for an evening of celebration and dancing but first their was the caffeine fix of a tea and coffee station and a glasses of Asti were poured before the speeches were announced.

Jay and Joe began by explaining that their sister always wanted a fairytale love - would this be her perfect wedding to celebrate finding it? If ever there was a girl who believed she was born for a tiara it was her. She had big dreams; a castle (will a barn do?), a handsome prince (Jonny was looking super smart), maybe a camera crew from MTV (Joanne Lamb Photography and Megan from Her Content Diaries with a retro styled recorder in hand were fuelling the vibe). It was heart warming to hear her brothers share such love for their big sister; the oldest sibling, the health and safety officer, event planner, emotional support unit and head of complaints (both giving and receiving). You can apparently always rely on Em to have a plan and to remind you when you are ruining it!

The brothers definitely didn’t do that as they were equally kind and caring towards their new brother-in-law (particularly the Vodafone perks - great for a family plan). Emily has always known what she wants from life and Jonny lives up to that everyday treating their sister just like the princess she wanted to be.

Keeping the speech short & sweet (just like the hairs on Jonny’s head) the boys did good. We are so pleased little princess Thea came along as the boys assured us she saved us all from a potential bridezilla! Juggling so much over the past year Emily has been the perfect bride and such a wonderful mum. The only real questioned remaining was wether Thea will follow their family and become an Arsenal fan or will she be a daddy’s girl and make a different choice? Joe concluded with the perfect toast raising a glass to a woman that always wanted a fairytale and to a man who is not only her prince but also knows the value on unlimited roaming 🤣.

On behalf of himself & his wife 🥂 our groom thanked everyone for joining them. Acknowledging he had very little input into such a special day (his beer pong idea was vetoed) he admired just how special Emily had made it for them all. As emotions were heightened Jonny confessed to being a mummy’s boy and so of course made sure to thank his mum for everything she has done, tears were shared between them both as he is clearly so grateful for the relationship they share. He went on to sing the praises of his trio of best men - “good old boys hang out with good old boys”!

Turning his attention to the most important person in the room - his wife of course - he told the story of where the fairytale began back in 2017 and progressed to the land of Bar & Beyond in 2019 where he finally worked his magic! The engagement in November 2023 maybe wasn’t the romantic surprise he intended (when you ask a girl her ring size she may guess what is coming 😉). He loves that she said yes and will now be by his side as his hair recedes! Raising a toast to his wife and “let’s make the rest of this day unforgettable” guests were primed ready for a great night on the dance floor to complete their dream day.

The three good old boys took to the mic - to tell a few tall tales of their own! One line of seriousness before the jokes began from the three cheeky chappies! We loved hearing about Jonny’s calamitous first week at work, where true friends charge in on their steed (well taxi) to rescue you from Prince of Wales Road and thankfully the receding hairline helping identify him with a friendly police officer!

Raising a toast to himself Johno congratulated himself for introducing our bride and groom to one another - the “moist” story had everyone laughing along. When Jonny finally got the girl everyone was so happy but Emily was mortified to find that Johno admitted to everyone that he would now have to stop fancying his step-sister!

It’s always been Jonny’s dream to have a th*****me 🤣 so the third of his best men joined in the speech! With stories from clubbing on holiday in 80’s, 90’s & naughties where Jonny’s dance moves caught the wrong kind of attention. Think less Knights of the Round Table, more lads on tour! Their final advice seemed sensible - handing her a jar full of biscuits Emily was given a treat jar to encouarge and reward Jonny for chores completed around the house. The final toast was to Mr & Mrs Bailey!!!

Scene 3 in our fairytale saw the barn transformed again; ready for a night of partying! Guests took to the terrace to enjoy the cooling evening air as the sun began to fade. Cutting the delicious cake baked by Auntie Sarah with a much more appropriate wooooooo rather than a countdown the energy levels were rising. An open-air first dance led to gorgeous golden hour photos with even the cows coming by to say their congrats! Sparks flew as the light faded with our couple walking through their own tunnel of love. The terrace was the place to be with pizzas, donuts and a photobooth encouraging silliness (as if encouragement was needed).

The DJ soon beckoned guests inside and the sounds of the sax kept it the place to be. Every fairytale needs a dramatic ending - thunder and lightening cooled the air and the dance party they wanted was created. As the final song was played our happy ending was complete.

Southwood Hall proved once again that castles are slightly overrated 😉. Echoing the sentiment of your family - may your love story continue to be magical, well-planned and occasionally dramatic just how you like it 🥰

“I don’t run anywhere but I wan’t to skip down the aisle to him. He’s perfect and he’s made my day perfect”.

Jess and Sam share true love and Southwood Hall is so here for it 🥰

Sam started Jess’s perfect day by sending his bag from Southwood House to the Cartshed Lodge where his wife-to-be was enjoying a laid back morning of pampering with her bridesmaids. With the bags was a handwritten card full of love and emotion that had our bride in tears (the good kind). Luckily Sarah Swain was on hand to pat away those tears and apply lipstick to the broadest of smiles.

The only way Sam could top that was by shedding genuine tears as his bride walked down the aisle - we had joked that Sam isn’t known for showing his emotions easily. We had planned nips through his pockets and even fingernails dug into his palm to make those tears flow but there was real worry they just might not come.

The Garden Rotunda provided a stunning backdrop for their ceremony enhanced by an aisle carpet from KWF and gorgeous blooms from Elizabeths the Florist's. As guests found their seats Luca was telling his mum how pretty she looked. He looked totally dapper too - the smartest of suits perfectly matching his Dad’s and his “plant” delicately attached to his lapel. Walking to the barn hand in hand with mum he was the gent every girl needs in her life ❤️

After Amy and Francesca had led the way from the barn to the Garden Rotunda in their flowing dusky pink gowns the beautiful Jess walked hand in hand with their son Luca. The youngest man proud to walk his mum down the aisle - he even by-passed the cows just for her! Our bride wore the broadest of smiles as the perfect accessory to her stunning dress. Embroidery over the tuille layers of her ethereal gowns was perfect for their gorgeous summer wedding, a keyhole back and corseted body flowed into a gorgeous train that flowed behind her as she walked across the lawn.

Not quite a skip but an entrance full of smiles - and of course the desired tears - it was never in doubt! Beaming as the sun shone - well prepared guests had fans fluttering as friends and family did everything to be there for them both. There was excellent appreciated silence when Celebrant Registrar Lyndsey asked if there were any objections before their legal words were led by Sam quickly followed by Jess. Our bride was super keen sharing her “I do” before Lyndsey even finished asking the all important questions.

Joe stepped forward with the rings but little Luca seemed equally impressed by the cows who wondered round to watch as his parents were married, sealing the deal with a loving kiss. Their ceremony was so them - full of love, laughter and the perfect amount of sun cream in the eyes 😉.

A strawberry Woowoo and an Old Fashioned were waiting at the end of the aisle as a Sky Full of Stars signalled that their ceremony was complete. Guests were soon offering hugs and congratulations before gathering to shower them in confetti. Parasols were put to great use as the cushioned loungers dotted around the terrace were soon hosting groups of guests being spoilt with delicious canapés. The cutest of beef sliders were devoured before ice creams were served - great choices by our couple who must have anticipated the weather!

Matt Dartford Photography was enjoying their day alongside them capturing every special moment. Guests glamorous outfits topped with beautiful hats caught his eye adding wonderful pops of colour to the gorgeous countryside scene. As shade was sought our lovely couple enjoyed exploring the gardens with Matt in tow while guests headed inside to find their seats.

As our couple joined their guests for the wedding breakfast even U2 agreed it was a Beautiful Day as napkins were waved and fun was had. Hand in hand Jess and Sam made their way around the barn to applause as their smiles gave away just how perfect their day was.

With main courses devoured (at break-neck speed 🤣) we were ready for Sam’s favourite part of the day - time for himself, his lovely brother Joe and Maid of Honour Francesca to share feelings in public and gush about his wonderful wife. For the second time on their wedding day Sam’s carefully chosen and wonderfully delivered words welled up happy tears in his wife.

Joe knew how to make his brother truly happy - having listened to his woes about the cost of a wedding he was grateful to have a seat to sit on but had the clever idea of purposefully leaving the tags on his suit and taking care not to spill too much on it so he could make sure to get a refund later!

It seems the football goals on the lawn with garden games earlier in the day were reminiscent of their youth and just as competitive! With all the love shared for Jess and the way she fits perfectly with their family the only real question was why it took our groom 8 long years to finally propose?! With that sun cream slipping into eyes again it was so special to hear one brother truly honour the other - now a father and husband, Sam is the type of man Joe aspires to be. He was lucky enough to grow up with Sam but Jess is the one that gets to grow old with him 🥰

Gooey chocolate brownies and Biscoff cheesecake were the perfect sweet end to the breakfast - one Luca was only too happy to devour! Guests were keen to head outside to once again enjoy the views from the terrace. As Dj Gary Sulter arrived we made the most of the spectacular day as he set his decks under the Garden Rotunda. Their stunning cake was carefully moved outside where the hidden feature on the back could be seen by all and of course the amazing carefully crafted topper admired.

Tony Story Photobooth was ready to welcome guests to have fun and add pictures to their keepsake album while pizzas were topped and cooked to order as the golden light gave another stunning Southwood sunset. As the light dimmed our DJ headed inside and guests danced the night away alongside a bride full of boundless energy.

As the clock struck midnight our couple didn’t want to miss a thing - as they belted out the lyrics to the Aerosmith classic dancing in each others arms - until DJ Gary Sulter noticed they were “having a moment” too and got everyone to give them a cheer.

Jess, Sam and of course Luca, we are so glad you had such a great day - you deserved every round of applause and every magical moment ###
