A very honest post from one of the hardest working bands around!
Here's the thing folks, as a promoter myself, I don't think that people fully appreciate the amount of costs involved in booking bands. There's travel, accommodation, food & drink, riders, sound engineers, venue hire costs, support acts, promotion and marketing etc
It's easy to be complacent, tell yourself you'll go to the next one, or leave ticket purchases until the last minute. This example from the lads shows just how vulnerable and fragile the industry is right now. This isn't about me or the shows I've booked. It's about the way of the world right now. I can safely say that artists, venues and promoters fully appreciate the financial challenges the world is facing right now but for all music lovers, if we don't support live music, we're going to lose it and a world without that for me, is unimaginable.
No matter where you are, buy a ticket even for just one show if you can afford it. You've no idea just how much you're needed right now.
Music is everything, please remember that.
