Welcome to my shopfront aka my instagram/FB pages!

You’ll find lots of info on my floristry business via my website too (just look for the 🔗 in my bio), and here’s a little reintroduction for anyone who has recently found SV Blooms:
My passion is wedding flowers - the planning stages, the putting together of floral recipes and on the day creating your vision. I’m also available for nerve-calming, buttonhole pinning for the gents, veil adjustments & general chats with the aunties who love to talk about wedding blooms right before the bride arrives!
I will not use floral foam (or single use plastics in general) in my work when I can avoid them - there are a tonne of ways to create stunning, large-scale & impactful designs without resorting to the crumbly, toxic green stuff. I also prefer locally grown flowers, and definitely European grown over flowers flown half way round the world. So if you love what you see on my grid, you love sustainable floristry too.
Family life for me is busy busy right now so I plan my work diary to take that into account. I know my customers and clients value this exclusivity because it means I will be solely focused on you and your wedding or event and not spread myself too thin. When you book SV Blooms you book me and my full attention throughout the planning of your big day or important occasion.
I love to learn and upskill; last year I benefited from training with the wonderful and the Irish . Next up is enhancing my sustainable funeral flowers skill set, to be able to offer more in this area of floristry too { I’d love recommendations of sustainable farewell flowers courses from any fellow florists on here 🫶🏼 }
Lastly, thank you for all your support on these platforms and particularly ‘in real life’. My customers truly are the best!

Getting married in 2026 or 2027 and not sure where to start? Got your dream venue booked and maybe wondering, what should I do next?!

Well if you’ve not yet locked down your florist, let me give you a bit more about SV Blooms:
When you book SV Blooms I dedicate as much time as you need to create your dream wedding florals. I’m at your disposal in the months before the Big Day- whether that’s at the end of the phone, virtually here on Insta or FB or in person at my little studio to run through ideas, styles, colour palettes, seasonal flowers, you name it.

I want you to feel that you’ve nailed your florals so that’s one big part of your day taken care of.
I love to ‘repurpose’ or think creatively about getting best value from your flowers by giving them dual purpose at your ceremony & afterwards at your reception. I also love to maximise those blooms where possible the next morning by heading back to your venue and using your arrangement florals to create hand tied bouquets that you can give to friends or loved ones the day after your wedding.
Sustainably is so important to me; I avoid using micro plastic floral foam and other single use plastics in your bouquets and arrangements. There are loads of ways to get creative without having to resort to that nasty spongey foam that will only pollute our water & lie in landfill forever… This also means NO to cellophane, YES to reusable containers to transport your wedding flowers and YES to locally grown flowers where poss (late spring and summer through to early autumn are ideal). When I use imported flowers (as all wedding florists need to do) I favour European grown over S. American or Middle Eastern.

I thought it was worth mentioning and reminding my lovely customers that SV Blooms offers beautiful hand tied and gift boxed bouquets.

Perfect for end of term Thank Yous for teachers and teaching staff, principals and school management 🍎 👩‍🏫 📚

So what does one of my signature bouquets look like? Well, only the freshest seasonal blooms combining imported European grown flowers & foliage and (as it’s summer), a gorgeous selection of locally grown florals - think sweet William, nigella, scented stock and (when I can grab them), stunning peonies! All carefully wrapped in reusable paper, and absolutely NOT wrapped in sheets of plastic cellophane ..

I can also sort delivery for you, so just ask about where I deliver to.

The future of our beloved Warrenpoint Baths is in YOUR hands!

What's happening?

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council has outlined proposals to convert the baths into a café, seaweed baths/spa, external venue space community function room, BUT there's also strong interest in bringing back our historic saltwater swimming pool! 🌊

We want to know what YOU think!
