Block out the 16th October because we've got something very special to celebrate.

Newcastle's very own JADE has been shortlisted for the Mercury Music Prize, and with the prestigious ceremony heading to the Toon for only the second time in history, there's no better excuse to celebrate in true Newcastle style. So, we're taking over the Island for a glittering evening dedicated to all things JADE.

In partnership with RADGE Magazine, we're bringing you an exclusive listening party hosted by the iconic Whitney, with a night packed full of entertainment, including a themed quiz, bespoke cocktails, huge prizes to be won, and an exclusive listening session for That's Showbiz Baby!.

Whether you're bringing the whole gang or coming solo and looking to mingle, this is one you won't want to miss.

PLAYING OUT (THURS)
Swannek are Playing Out on Thursday 24th September, bringing live music from 7pm onwards.

RHYTHM TONIC (FRI)
Kicking off your weekend, we've got Alousea, Gareth Gray and Vlada Sax bringing all the feel good vibes from 5pm-1am.

DRINK. DANCE. DISCO (SAT)
Maff leads our Saturday session alongside Murta, Ben Caldwell, Steve Hildreth and Annie FM.

MATCHDAY ABOVE THE TOON (SAT)
With live commentary from the Freight food hall, we're showing England V Spain, kicking off at 19:45pm.

BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH (FRI-SUN)
Grab your gang and book bottomless brunch. It's always better up at the Island.
