Have you heard of Spider Runners? You may well have seen them and thought ‘how much fun are they having?!’

The answer would be….’lots’.

From the very launch of the first TVU, Spider Runners have been huge supporters of Quadrio Events. This year was even bigger than before.

We know some of you joined in their Facebook community after you became acquainted too. Amazing.

Inclusive, supportive and fun. Their values match ours. If you feel like this is a bit of you, please do search for their Facebook group and click join. Or come and chat to them all at our future events, or any event you see them at!

We had some big numbers from big clubs at TVU. You can expect us to post about them over the next few days!

The largest contingent of TVU legends came from .

You can’t miss them in their highlighter yellow tops! NOTFAST have supported us since day 1 and we are incredible proud to be a part of them and them to be a part of us.

Let’s talk about the feats of the Non-Binary category. A course record was set and three podium trophies taken away. What a day.

First finisher was Ellis, who crossed the line in 6:44:30. And look at how effortless they crossed the line. Ellis also asked for a shout out for their running club . Do we ever say no to a shout out?! Absolutely not!

The silver medal podium place was taken by Ru, one of EPIC volunteers from last year. For those of you who may have recognised them, you would have seen Ru up at CP4 in 2025, filling your bottles and making sure you had biscuits and fruit galore. So to come back and smash out their own TVU in style was amazing. A time of 7:45:20.

A third finisher took the third place award and did an amazing time. They have chosen to celebrate their achievement privately, but they know who they are and we celebrate them coming along to smash out an ultra and become a TVU legend.

If you are an ultra runner now or wish to give it a go in the future, please know that everybody is welcome at Quadrio Events and we will celebrate you all.

Today let’s talk about the male category winners.

Ady Pendred crossed the finish line first in an outstanding 4:05:44. Insane! Then he stuck around to give hugs to every next finisher! Then he went on to come second in an ultra the following weekend. 🤯

Then came the race for second place. With Andrew O’Reilly crossing the line in absolute style in 4:12:05. An outstanding run.

Third in was Sam Howden, hot on his tail with a time of 4:12:57. Sam pushed right to the end and coming up that final straight gave it everything.

What is more, all three of these runners had a party at the level crossing in South Muskham and took selfies to prove it! What insane speeds and still showing a sense of humour and fun that has to come with trail running!

Amazing work to every male crossing the line at the TVU and outstanding first to third place times too!

Right. It’s time to celebrate the category winners from last weekend!

First up it’s female category top three.

First back over the line was the incredible Jenny Jackson. She finished in 4:26:32 and that’s now our new female course record!!! Incredible!

Next over the line, completing her first ultra only weeks after a very fast marathon, was Amy Saltfleet in 4:34:48. We understand she did a few additional miles on the day too. Just for fun, eh Amy?!

In third place, incredible still sub 5, was Paige Brown, in 4:59:06 and huge smiles as she finished too! Absolutely cruised it and did an amazing job!

An absolutely incredible show from every female out on the course, but well done to the top three!

Our Thursday thanks is to you every single person who trusted us to put on an event that made the most of their weekend.

We know there are so many events to choose from, all of them fabulous. So we take a huge amount of responsibility from you all choosing ours for your May weekend. We want to make sure you never regret signing up to TVU, because we are so grateful that you chose us.

So thank you to everybody who signed up and brought friends along too. There is no TVU without TVU legends. 💚💜

Our next thanks goes to our two photographers on the day, Nick (one of our close friends) who also volunteered throughout the day, and .jpeg .

Nick has now given us access to his amazing photos and drone footage and we’re picking through them to pop them on the website.

Lollie is currently also finishing her drop to get them ready for viewing.

We will drop social media posts and emails to you when they are ready to go!

Our next thank you goes to .

We approached them only a year and a half ago to ask if they would mind us testing a little event called Trent Valley Ultra that started and finished there and they only had yeses for us to everything we asked.

They are incredibly supportive and make any of our wild ideas come to life with us.

They were the kind sponsors of the prize for the funny pairs names for both years and have provided this amazing venue for you all for the start and finish.

It would be impossible to do a brewery to brewery ultra without an amazing and visionary team at the Milestone itself.

They are already looking forward to 2027 and having another brilliant day there.

For all the brewery visitors on Monday, we are incredibly sorry that our portaloos were an eyesore whilst you had your tea and drinks. Next year we’ve got a new supplier who will pick up on time!
