And now it’s time to share some of the music we experienced in Sunday night Chapel Sessions Community led Not-4-profit occasional music series with Mike Mitchell Music

08/09/2026

On Sunday, 6th September, we welcomed new friends to Chapel Sessions, St Edwards Church Mike Mitchell Music and his fabulous band. This was the fruition after an enquiry from Mike Mitchell himself asking if we might be interested in hosting a bluegrass band from Virgina who were on tour in UK and headlining the iconic Didmarton Bluegrass festival.

We took less than two seconds to think about it and on Sunday night, they earned their invitation to return to Chapel Sessions in the future. Tight harmonies, self penned songs, foot tapping tunes and top class musicianship plus a large appreciative crowd who showed their rousing appreciation and enthusiasm, made for a wonderful night to remember.

We at Chapel Sessions Community led Not-4-profit occasional music series feel honoured to think that our community efforts are respected by such prominent artists, something we have strived to put on in the Netley community since 2013. Here are some photos to enjoy and share with friends so that even more people get the chance to enjoy quality music in our neighbourhood. Our thanks as always go to our small intrepid band of volunteers who help us put on these concerts. 🎶💙 Sonja and John Chapel Sessions hosts
