We do love seeing a North East author out in the wild, especially somewhere as unexpected as the middle aisle of . 😂

Well, this was a lovely surprise to arrive at LFBF HQ this morning…

And on publication day too!

A very special early copy of Molly McFlynn Goes Rogue, the second Molly McFlynn book from the wonderful Sue Reed

Sue joined us at The The Little Felton Book Festival a couple of years ago with the first Molly book, so we’ve been rather looking forward to finding out what she gets up to next. Judging by the title, quite a lot!

Huge congratulations to Sue on publication day. We can’t wait to get stuck in.

If you aren't familiar with his work and like things a little on the dark side then we highly recommend giving him a read. He's very good, even Ian Rankin said so!!

📚 We think she's pretty amazing...

A huge congratulations to our brilliant Co-Director, Kirsty Cooper, whose latest Twinkle children's book has just been published!

As if organising a book festival wasn't enough, she somehow finds the time to add children's author, author of psychological thrillers (obviously for grown ups only) and panto writer and director to her repertoire. We're not sure where she finds the hours, but we're very glad she does!

We're incredibly lucky to have such a talented author leading Little Felton Book Festival alongside us. Well done, – we can't wait to see what you write next! ✨📖

The village is alive with the sounds of Feltonbury.

From live bands and talented local artists to community choirs and plenty of music filling the air, it's a celebration of everything that makes our village so special.

If you're out and about today, follow the music, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a day of great performances, good company and summer memories in the making.

Because on a day like this... there's nowhere else we'd rather be.

Join the hands-on Pigments & Poems session at the Alnwick Playhouse – a brilliant opportunity to explore natural pigments, creativity and storytelling in a relaxed, inspiring setting. The Playhouse is a well-loved local arts hub offering workshops and activities for all ages throughout the year.

WORKSHOP | Create a painting using natural pigments from Northumberland, inspired by its wildlife, and write your own haiku. A family friendly workshop for ages 5+.

The workshop will be ran by Rebecca Poremba and Monica Tuffs, as part of the ‘Down to Earth’ exhibition by Rebecca Poremba.

All materials are provided. You will take home your finished painting and a haiku poem.

A bear, a boy, and a Hundred Acre Wood… and a story that has quietly stayed with us for 100 years.

Join us at the Little Felton Children’s Book Festival as we celebrate the centenary of Winnie-the-Pooh — with our very own 100 Acre Wood Story Walk.

Follow the trail, step into the story, and meet beloved moments from Pooh and his friends along the way. It’s a gentle, imaginative journey for little ones and a nostalgic wander for grown-ups too.

Expect storytelling, smiles, maybe some singing and just a little bit of magic.

Watchout for the Haffalumps though!

Becca Poremba is always inspired by nature to create her artwork. Her book ‘The Moon is Full’ is about leaning into the connections we have to nature and each other as a whole. Becca will be in the beautiful setting of The Plot,
talking about the moon and helping children to connect with nature through art and collage.
