Tonight will be a lovely evening… see the Tree lights illuminated, visit Santa, browse the stalls, grab a burger, or mulled wine and listen to the concert in the church …Wow Miltcheldean knows how to bring in the festive season 🎄🎅🎶

Next Friday Mitcheldean High Street will be the place to be…Santa in the Mitcheldean Library from 5-7pm (book your slot), local stalls inside and out including Mitcheldean WI Christmas tree light switch on at 6pm with music and carols from the primary school youngsters, BBQ from Forest of Dean Swimming Club this year and to top it all off a Mitcheldean Festival free acoustic winter concert from 6.30pm in the church.

Playing on the back of a lorry, and then stopping to watch a parachute jump, was a new experience for Glevum Big Band. In keeping with the 1940-45 theme we played a selection of swing music and songs from the era. Thanks to the organisers of the VE Day Commemoration at Dene Magna, the Royal Navy parachutists, and Lydney Music who did an excellent job with the sound. A special mention for our 1st trumpet, John Butson, who played the Last Post, as part of the Remembrance ceremony.
