There's something so uplifting about echinacea! They bring a bold pop of colour to the border and are an absolute joy to behold. Mickley gardens might have sun scorched lawns but the blooms are nothing short of glorious. We're loving summer!

Flowers are to be treasured, always... They look and smell fabulous, and are a total joy to gift to others. Our spirits were lifted this week when a wonderfully kind villager gave us this beautiful arrangement of home-grown blooms. X

Oh, the fabulous scent of lavender! This glorious and rather magnificent sprawl of purple heaven is slowly taking over an entire area of a Mickley garden. We're not complaining though, and neither are the bees. Love watching it sway in the breeze - and the fragrance that wafts past is sublime.

Thanks to your support, Mickley Open Gardens raised an incredible £6,829 – a princely sum that will be shared between St Michael’s Hospice and the village church. We are completely bowled over and so proud of such a phenomenal achievement. This bunch of beautiful peonies might be locked in a picture, but if were possible, we’d give the real deal to each one of you. Thanks, once again x

Let's take a moment to appreciate some of the fabulous food served at Mickley Open Gardens. Everything was homemade by the villagers, except for a beautiful cake, kindly donated by Realitea in Ripon to help us raise funds for St John’s Church, Mickley and Saint Michael's Hospice.
