And thats a wrap on Freak Out as it currently is as a club night! Thank you to everyone who ever came out and partied with us to some classic 70s hard rock and heavy metal, its been an absolute blast! But The Filth Collective are going to be busy, splitting our time between π•³π–Šπ–π–Šπ–‰, Punk Rock Pride and NULLState

It has truly been a great time, and who knows, we may appear in the future as a cheeky bar takeover or gig after party (hint hint), but as a fully fledged club night, we lay Freak Out down to rest

Thank you so much to everyone who came through those doors and MARGATE ARTS CLUB for hosting us!

Make sure to follow The Filth Collective or π•³π–Šπ–π–Šπ–‰ for our pride and joy, the biggest goth party this side of Kent

For our last Freak Out, we will be putting on a few albums before the DJs start to create a vibe. All new releases (2026 in any case) and a chance to listen to some of these albums on the super impressive MARGATE ARTS CLUB sound system. Margate as a whole treats heavy metal as a bit of an after thought in terms of sound systems, so we are forever grateful for the MAC team for letting us play some through their system.

See you all tonight!

Sleep - Hempispheres [stoner metal/doom]

Elder - Through Zero [prog rock]

Chelsea Wolfe - The Dark [doom/folk/goth]

Green Lung - Necropolitan [doom metal]

Unfortunately, with the success of other ventures weve had this year, its become apparent that we are facing a bit of burnout and something needs to give. After much thought, we unfortunately need to put our beloved Freak Out to rest for the foreseeable future. This means our outing for the 18th September will be our last!

Huge thank you to everyone who has ever come through those doors and rocked out with us, and to the folks at MARGATE ARTS CLUB for putting up with us!

Lets make this last one count!

Did you know Hawkwind alumni Robert Calvert (who served as lyricist and lead singer for a time) was raised in Margate's Arlington House? He also famously contributed to the writing of the seminal space rock classic, Silver Machine

Freak Out is back for our big summer event! Last June we managed to pack out the Arts Club with a night filled to the brim with 60s and 70s hard rock, so lets see if we can do it again!

But how can we make this night even better?

How about FREE ENTRY!! Anyone coming in before 9pm will be treated to free entry for the entire night!!

We will also be working with other businesses or events on the night to help folk get in as well!

Make sure you reserve a free ticket as early as you can!

Tickets will be Β£5 after 9pm entry, so make sure you get down early!

Our photobooth and sleaze horror fest will also be making a come back, including our now infamous dress up box

Expect to hear the likes of Sabbath, Mountain, Dio, Led Zep, Coven, Hawkwind, Budgie, a whole host of witch fronted occult rock and loads more!
