Happening tonight at Olby's Creative Hub
🌊 From Cliftonville to Global Brand 🌍
A talk with Dom Bridges, Founder of Dulcie (formerly Haeckels)
How does a business grow from a single rented shop in Cliftonville into an internationally recognised brand, while staying rooted in place?
Thanet Business Support Programme are delighted to be welcoming Dom Bridges, founder of Dulcie (formerly Haeckels). Dom’s passion for building a brand deeply rooted in Margate is deeply admired; drawing on local natural resources, creating products with a strong sense of place, and developing the much-loved community sauna at Walpole Bay tidal pool.
From Margate to London (and even briefly Tokyo) Dulcie’s products are now sold internationally. But it hasn’t been plain sailing, and Dom’s approach to business is anything but conventional.
In this candid conversation, Dom will share the real story behind building Dulcie in Margate:• growing a place-led brand• expanding beyond Thanet to London and internationally• creating community-led projects• navigating growth, investment, risk and resilience
📅 9 February⏰ 6:00–7:30pm📍 Olby’s Creative Hub, Margate🎟️ Free to attend
This talk is part of the Thanet Business Support Programme, supporting local and independent businesses across Thanet.
