VE Day’s 80th Anniversary is on the evening of Thursday 8th May from 7.00pm – 10.00pm & Bradfield Parish Council will be hosting an event at Bradfield recreation ground.

The church bells will start ringing at 6.30pm 80 times to mark the start of the evening.

Our local band The Victory Arms & Tendring Brass Band will be playing throughout the evening. We will also have some tunes from our resident piper Bob too.

We have the honour of Deputy Lieutenant Simon Brice attending on behalf of HM Lord Lieutenant of Essex.

There will be presentations from Bradfield Scouts, Parish Councillors & a visual display leading upto the lighting of the beacon at 9.30pm when the international tribute & blessing will be read.

Food vans & a mobile bar are available throughout the evening along with a free bouncy castle.

Hope to see you there as it would be lovely if we can all come together and make this a memorable occasion.
