You don't need a final guest list, but you do need a realistic number.

80 guests and 150 guests can mean a very different wedding.

Your guest numbers will affect your venue, your budget and even the atmosphere of your day.

Get your guest list roughly there first. Then find a venue that fits your wedding, not the other way around.

In addition to planning and on-the-day coordination services, I also offer a number of additional wedding planning services, you can book these services on their own, or in addition to any other service.

MONDAY WEDDING TIP.

Don’t let your wedding date choose your suppliers.

I know for some people their wedding date is very important and can sometimes mean something to them, however for most it's just a date. You might find that when you start enquiring with your dream suppliers they aren't available.

However my advice would be don’t look to book someone or somewhere else just because your first choice isn’t available. If they’re important to you, ask about alternative dates before making a compromise.

And if your date is flexible, use that to your advantage.

Your wedding date is one detail. Where you get married and the people you trust to bring it all together are more important than the date in the grand scheme of things. They are what you are going to remember and feel when you think back to your wedding day.

Your engagement deserves to be full of excitement, date nights and happy memories, not endless spreadsheets and stress.

My dad's line to me when we were planning our wedding was "you've got to cut your cloth accordingly", which meant I had to prioritize what I could actually afford V what I had on my wishlist. Which in my case, meant I didn't rent chairs for my venue that already had perfectly good chairs there for my guests to sit on 😂

Don’t start your wedding budget with what you've seen on social media or Pinterest. Start with your priorities.
Before booking anything, sit down together and decide:

• What matters most to you?
• What are your non-negotiables?
• Where are you happy to spend more?
• Where could you actually save?
• What are you not bothered about having? (Decide at the beginning so you don't get pulled into spending unnecessarily)

Then split your budget around what matters most to YOU, rather than what a wedding “should” cost.

Your budget should reflect your priorities, not everyone else’s and most importantly only be within a scope of what you can afford.

Six months in business and SO much to celebrate 🥹

From booking my first couple, meeting amazing suppliers and learning approximately 7,492 things about running my own business… it’s been quite the journey already!

Before I was a wedding planner, I spent 13+ years working in events, marketing and communications, producing everything from conferences, summits and workshops for some pretty incredible global brands across the world.

There have been a lot of highlights along the way. There have also been gastro bugs, forgotten names, terrifying glass floors, demanding clients and more last-minute problems than I care to remember 😂
But every one of those experiences taught me something.
How to stay calm when things go wrong.
How to find a solution when there isn't an obvious one.
How to manage a million moving parts without making it look like there are a million moving parts.

And that's probably the biggest thing I've brought with me into wedding planning and on the day coordination.
Because your wedding should feel exciting, personal and completely you, not like you're managing an event. That's my job 🩷

So, if you're planning a wedding and feeling a little overwhelmed by everything that needs organising or you don't know who will get it done on the day, I'm your girl.
