Hello - I am Juliette Williams, your local Lyme Regis and surrounding areas celebrant! I was recently delighted to hear that I am a finalist in the Lyme Regis business awards as an independent business.

As a celebrant who lives in the town, and has done so for many years, it has always been my passion to support people during the most important celebrations in their lives.

As a wedding celebrant I regularly spend many months helping and guiding couples who are coming to Lyme Regis for its beauty and location to marry . I offer advice on other local businesses and support them and their guests during their time in Lyme with recommendations of places to eat. Stay, local suppliers ❤️

In addition, as a funeral and memorial celebrant it is my greatest privilege to guide and lead my community through the the myriad emotions and sheer overwhelm of a bereavement. I’m always available to chat confidentially and offer advice and support on how best to honour a life well lived.

Getting married in Devon is just wonderful. You have the options of marrying by the sea on the coast, in country houses, swish hotels or countryside barns.

Or of course you can get married outside in a garden by a lake like this amazing couple did.

It was a day full of all sorts of perfect moments, from an intimate group of their closest friends and family sitting in a circle of hay bales to the family dogs taking an impromptu dip in the lake behind us

Their were swans on the lake and locally grown flowers around the arch

Memorable and magical memories ❤️

I’ve been an experienced independent celebrant for many years and I’ve created and officiated hundreds of unique, creative and always emotional ceremonies during that time🥂❤️ None of them have been legally recognised as the law currently requires a council employee to register that marriage. Rather like a birth or a death, a necessity, absolutely, but devoid of truth and lacking in any creative, cultural, sexual or individual preferences, nuances or values.

I can only hope to illustrate how important this legislation should be by showcasing the power of an independent celebrant wedding ceremony by giving you a glimpse into my couples past and present.

📍🥂 In this beautiful photo captured by you can see a joyful smiling couple at their outdoor wedding ceremony in Dorset. Originally from the south the couple lived in Scotland and choose to have their ceremony outdoors the tropical gardens on the Jurassic coast, with myself as celebrant telling their story and reasons The bride picked her own flowers on her way to the ceremony and her dad played music as they walked in. Personal, joyful, outdoors and totally relaxed 📍🥂

No one ceremony is alike, yet I do know from country estates, historical buildings, beach side relaxation and home marquees that every couple has cherished the feeling of intimacy, connection and staying true to their values.

Oh last weeks wedding was exquisite in every single way ❤️

This has become rather a tradition of mine - the pre ceremony selfie in the loo at the venue - so here I am back at Mapperton and so so excited about today’s wedding ceremony - no spoilers from me, (but I’m happy to share one of the songs ) and yes I did hands 🙌 as did the grooms brother in law 😂 and yes I forgot I was miked up for the videographer when I sung along !

So without spoiling anything, the dress was EXQUISITE the bridesmaids were lush, the groomsmen lent me their fans and were true gentlemen - a bird flew into the chapel 🪶

Poems, readings, symbolism and history but above all else true, committed love.

Oh and hello to the most witty handsome groom and brother standing proud and joyful 😘

Did I mention vintage cars and a flyover from a WW2 plane?

Thanks to eveyone who supported me, the team at Mapperton who are the best , the canapés from my favourite caters Fossil Food Catering and photography from the gorgeous Leonie May Wedding Photography and videography. ❤️ team work at its best which is just what today’s couple deserved - when you are that gorgeous we all go the extra mile 😘
