🤍X 10 years X 🤍
This year marks my 10th wedding season as a wedding singer and honestly… I’m giving myself my flowers today 🌹🌹🌹
When I started a decade ago, some people didn’t even think this was a “real job”. But here I am, 10 years later, still doing what I love and somehow making a living from singing at the most special moments in people’s lives. I feel incredibly lucky to have spent the last decade being part of so many beautiful wedding days.
Along the way I’ve met the most amazing couples and some brilliant people in the wedding industry who have become friends and supporters.
My little business has survived a lot too. Lockdowns when it was basically illegal to sing, weddings limited to 10 people, and the days when we couldn’t even dance inside… remember that? It feels surreal looking back now.
In these 10 years I’ve also had two beautiful babies, built my business around motherhood (with basically no maternity leave!), and even became a bride myself, seeing weddings from the other side.
I know I’m incredibly lucky to do this job, but behind the scenes there are long days, late nights, emails, planning, rehearsing, travelling, learning new songs and constantly trying to make everything just right. My goal has always been simple: give every couple the best service I possibly can, and hopefully be a friendly, calm face on such an important day.
So this post is just a little moment to say…
Happy 10 years to me.
Here’s to the next decade of love stories, music, and wedding. 🎶🤍
