The Heat Next Week looks like its gonna be 30-39C for most days for England ⚠️ From Monday onwards, most major England cities will be well above 30C, with highs of 39C possible in London midweek. Severe Weather Updates

❓ DO YOU HAVE ANY HINTS OR TIPS TO COPE IN THE HEAT ❓
Especially for the vunerable, Baby/children, elderly or pets.
PLEASE LEAVE YOURS IN COMMENTS

❗️ PLEASE NOTE If you take certain MEDICATION you may be more susceptible to overheating. Please check your info as you might not realise this is a side effect. With heat intolerance or sweating or thirst/hydration.... Things like antidepressants, blood pressure meds, Diabetes Meds, Pain/muscle relaxer meds ❗️

Below are a few websites for help and and signs of heatstroke to look out for etc

Some of my (Shelley) hints are
* Keeping windows closed when the heat is highest and the blinds/curtains closed when the sun is coming through strong.
* Windows open when its cooler (early and late) for the air to circulate
* Fans pushing air through the room with ice/cold water in front of it makes the air cooler (I hang frozen bottles in front of it helps)
* Hand towels or flannels kept cold water to wipe yourself, especially keep draped around the neck and chest or on forehead
* Holding wrists or ankles under cold running water cools at pulse points.
* COOL shower, NOT freezing cold. The cold shock from feeling hot effects the body too much
* DRINKS, keeping a bottle of water/squash in the fridge helps to keep an eye on how much you are drinking.
* Also not too much sugar drinks as they do not hydrate as well.
* Think of fruits in the fridge too to quench your thirst
* Take cover from Sun (even umbrella) and wear loose clothes
