9 DAYS AGO! I know....it's not even late anymore. It's past that!

We had an in house friendly with our friends over at Louth Town U13's. We hosted a penalty shootout at the end of the match between everyone there with Noah and Rylie going in goal for the shootout!

THE WINNER WAS ..... ALEX!!!! Massive well done, celebrating with 4 pints of milk and a cookie! What better way?

The WIND and RAIN was sooooo bad! This is the only photo we could muster after the game 😅😅

Horrific conditions for both teams but a fantastic game of football nevertheless, Grimoldby advancing to the next round of the cup. The boys worked extremely hard given the conditions and put on a show! Thank you to Keelby for hosting us! 👏

Well this has never happened before! A triplayyy for MOTM today. Not something that would usually be done but just being able to recognise some excellent work on the pitch. 🥰

7 games these lads have now had together and a similar amount of training sessions.....so not a lot at all and they've all gelled so well. ❤️

Massive thank you to Discoveries Prax for coming down today in our second league match of the season. Fantastic team who play excellent football.

🏆 First MOTM Liam dual signing from Louth Town to join the lads this year on a Saturday! He fitted into the team straight away showing his qualities on the pitch and managing to nullify a lot of the danger sent his way. Massive well done on your achievements.

🏆 Also MOTM Jake who has been an integral part of the Grimoldby defence over the last 3 years. Everyone is in awe of his extraordinary ability to read the game with incredible intelligence. Massive well done Jake!

🏆 The third MOTM we have Teddie. Absolute work horse, the energy at the top end of the pitch is fantastic to see. 100% effort every single game leading by example. Scoring countless goals along the way to help the team be victorious as well as filling in other positions in times of need. Well done Ted!

Absolutely loving it! We didn't get to do a GOAT on Tuesday due to it being Ryan's Birthday so all the kids wanted to Rosie him. Not sure how that happened but they did some damage so no GOAT could possibly be issued 🤣🤣

However, moving on swiftly we have a new GOAT from today, always respectful and polite young man who never ever moans. Jake has trained with Grimoldby since the team was set up, joining in with training when possible.

This year he's joined the team, playing a year up and has been an exceptional example. Picking up his teammates, patting them on the back and playing in a midfield role for the U13's which he has given 100% to every single game.

Massive well done Jake and a brilliant addition to the team! 🥰

🌟 A very proud day for Grimoldby FC! 🌟

Today our U10s played their first ever official league match — a huge milestone for the team.

And what a way to start! We came up against one of the best teams we’ve faced so far. Greenbank Dynamo were extremely well organised and, in the words of our coaches, gave the most encouragement to each other that we’ve heard all pre-season. They should be very proud of themselves 👏.

The game was a great challenge, and to make sure everyone had fair game time we mixed positions again, giving each player the chance to try something new. Game by game, we’re improving together as one team 💪.

⭐ Highlights of the day:
• Aria captained the side brilliantly, using her voice to encourage and guide her teammates.
• Roman made his debut in his very first organised match — and did fantastic!
• And, after asking the opposition coaches for their Player of the Match, the award went to Lewis, who they said “pulled off some incredible saves throughout the match”. Well done Lewis! 🧤⚽

We couldn’t be prouder of every single player today.

⚽️ What an amazing pre-season! They have all come on so well together, playing in 5 matches and a tournament. Taking plenty of positives from each along the way. ⚽️

These lads haven't played together before and they're already doing amazing! As coaches, parents we couldn't be prouder and It all starts this Saturday for the league! ❤️👏

GOAT of the week last night - Exemplary on and off the pitch, JJ shows just what it means to be part of this fantastic team leading by example. Picking up his teammates, nothing is too much to ask, filling in lots of positions on the pitch to help out the team and putting in solid performances along side that. 🐐

Final bits of the lads kits have arrived. Special thanks to Alford Traffic for sorting them all with Black Shorts and Black Socks for training. 🚛

2nd Game in 2 Days! - Grimoldby FC vs Horncastle 🟡⚫️

Always a pleasure to welcome Simon and the Horncastle team ❤️

We anticipated some tired legs after yesterday's outing but we were more than wrong. The lads started ever so well finding some lovely little passes and were playing some lovely intricate football. ⚽️

They managed to get in front of goal plenty of times in the first half but struggled to find the net! Some bobbles on the pitch maybe 🤔😅 Luckily the boys at the back and in the middle were solid all day and that meant we went in level at half time.

Second half, the much improved intensity and high pressure paid off with some more opportunities starting to appear. Relentless runs from the attackers to create the chances but it was a midfielder who started the scoring - returning to the club for this year - Harrison! 🤙🏻

The game went on and we were so much more solid. Maintaining shape and showing discipline starting from the Goalkeeper all the way through to the front line.

Massive thank you to Horncastle for making the journey. Extra minutes in the legs again for the lads.

MOTM - Rylie - Absolutely put a shift in this weekend for both games, today though, working the midfield, leading the transition from attack to defence as well. Showing the qualities as captain to lead and organise. Well done Rylie 🟡⚫️

What a bunch of lads! Made our morning these boys! Popped for our second game of the 11v11 era away at Bardney this morning! ✅

Mega run out and extra minutes in the legs. Huge improvements already in the team and a great bond between them all. Proper mega. 🥳

Positioning and transitioning on point today. This showed in the end result. Midfielders running the show, defenders and goalkeeper keeping a clean sheet! Strikers doing the business up the top end!

Proud moment as coaches from the sidelines as they sorted free kicks, corners and the penalty takers out themselves. Showing the togetherness ❤️

MOTM Double!!

Harry H - absolutely ran his socks off today. Wish he’d worn my watch with the amount of steps the lad must have got. Fought for his team and put on a dominant display on midfield today. Extremely well deserved 🟡⚫️

Teddie LS - So decisive in front of goal it’s almost abnormal, totalled 7 goals today and not one goal was the same. He can score any type of goal and his work ethic was second to none. Assists in there as well and played an array of positions to help the team. 🟡⚫️
