The Social Kitchen Cookbook

We grew up in a Jewish South African inspired 'madhouse' in London where my parents entertained family and friends constantly. The number of guests would range anywhere from two to a casual 50. Our friends would turn up at all hours of the day with the understanding that there was always something to eat...and there always was. From cakes, salads and roast dinners, one

thing was always certain...no one would leave hungry. My mother had her firm spot at our kitchen table. Despite her suffering from several illnesses, she was always busy making and creating something. But, she never did anything alone. If friends intended to come visit for a quick cup of tea; they would inevitably stay all day to help roll out the dough or chop the vegetables. My mother had the ability to include, create, empathize and listen. Our kitchen table bears the tears and joys of all of our friends and family. It holds the tribulations and triumphs that were quietly revealed to my mother while she was preparing something delicious for everyone to enjoy. Our mother's kitchen is still the soul of our home. This cookbook honors her energy, effervescence and joie de vivre. It is designed to encapsulate my mother’s philosophy: to encourage people to cook, to enjoy life, to give back, to entertain, to create, and to have fun. It’s her book of wisdom, humour and quirky ideologies. It is the perfect tribute to a flawless wife, mother and daughter. The book will feature recipes, stories and even some of her crafty ideas. All of which built the foundations of the ‘Social Kitchen’, which we grew up in, and love!!! All proceeds from the sale of this book go to Dermatrust (The Dermatitis and Allied Diseases Research Trust). Dermatrust is a registered charity, which aims to improve the treatment and care of skin diseases through supporting the advancement of research and treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the skin.

This is how we bring the trends from our 2026 Trends Report to life.

Whimsical romance isn’t going anywhere this year, so of course, we had to turn it into a table. With a renewed love for soft, nostalgic storytelling, this aesthetic is shaping everything from fashion to film… and, as always, tables and events.

For this look, we took cues from the latest Wuthering Heights adaptation through to the ever-iconic Bridgerton. Think lace, ruffles and pearls softened by sheer sorbet layers, with cool vintage blues and vintage ivory details. The return of doilies, (were obsessed) and antique silver touches and vintage glass coupes.

We capture trends, build the mood board, create the looks, and execute seamlessly at your event. From creative direction and styling to tableware and prop hire, The Social Kitchen delivers the full package.

If you want to get ahead of the trends, DM us “ROMANCE” and we’ll send you the full report

On a budget but still want beautifully styled tables? That’s exactly why we’re here.

Using our 2026 Trend Report (if you haven’t downloaded it yet, you’re missing out 👀), we’ve styled three moodboards on the Friso collection to show just how versatile it can be, each inspired by key trends and colour directions from the report.

• Think cool metallics with silver coupes, spray-painted florals and architectural centrepieces.
• Rich burgundies and velvets, layered with soft pinks, mauves and olive green.
• Or cool blues paired with pops of burgundy and grounded with rustic neutrals.

We’re building more than just tableware to hire, we’re building the tools to help you create better events. From ready-to-go collections to trend-led styling guides, everything is designed to give you a strong starting point, with value and flexibility built in.

Which direction would you choose?

If you want more guidance on the trends shaping events this year, head to the link in bio to download the report.

If you love the vintage romance trend but want to jazz it up a little… this is it.

This is what happens when vintage romance meets the bold statement style of 2026, think Bridgerton reimagined with a modern twist. Lilacs, bright pinks and pops of yellow and green come together to create a palette full of personality.

It’s a look that taps into two of the biggest trends we’re seeing this year: bold colour stories and serpentine tables layered with draped fabrics, adding movement and sculptural impact across the table.

On the table: our fuchsia wine glass and tumbler set paired with the pink scallop charger and our candy icon cutlery collection, bringing the perfect blend of vintage elegance and contemporary styling into one look.

With International Women’s Day just around the corner, we’re celebrating the incredible woman who paved the way for us, our founder Dani 💗

The Social Kitchen started small, with one table and Dani’s dedication to bringing her vision to life. Fast-forward to today, and her creativity, leadership, and perseverance have shaped our team of 8 into what we are now.

Dani is the heartbeat of this business, pouring her heart and soul into every detail, whether it’s styling your tablescapes, sourcing new props or problem-solving. Her willingness to roll up her sleeves and get things done is inspiring. Any founder will know how many hats are being worn daily!

But what truly sets Dani apart is her kindness and care for our team. She keeps us motivated, makes work enjoyable, and reminds us of our purpose.

We’re grateful for Dani’s passion and determination. Today, we celebrate the women who build, create, and lead, especially you, Dani.

We feel lucky to be part of your journey.
