Three nights at Sofitel Ras Al Khaimah reminded me why I never stop learning from the world's finest hospitality experiences.

Every morning brought new discoveries. The way they curated the breakfast experience - not just food, but atmosphere, timing, even the gentle background music that shifted with the sunrise. The evening transitions that transformed the same spaces into entirely different moods.

But what struck me most wasn't what they did - it was how they made me feel. Welcomed without being overwhelmed. Pampered without being patronized. Special without being singled out.

This delicate balance is what separates good events from unforgettable ones.

Back in London, I'm applying these insights to every aspect of event design. How do we welcome guests in a way that immediately sets the tone? How do we create moments of surprise that feel natural, not staged? How do we ensure every person feels they're part of something extraordinary?
