⚡️ WHEN LIGHTNING STRIKES…... ⚡️
….wedding planners really earn their money!! After ensuring the set up for this stunning Tuscan destination wedding was absolutely perfect, Mother Nature decided to do the unthinkable!!! Bringing what can only be described
as a BIBLICAL STORM - thunder, lightning, huge hailstones, ferocious wind, and horizontal rain that trashed everything, including the full ceremony set up, with chairs blown all over the place and the entire meal set up destroyed 💨
Kudos to the bride and groom, who stayed utterly calm and grounded throughout. The Planning Team, though, were then making it up as they went along. Firstly, the ceremony was moved to the beautiful (fortunately) villa, with
guests lining the wide corridor and up the staircase (after getting soaked crossing the courtyard - again, top marks for their bravery and support). Our Chief Dream Maker, Nick, then delivered a slightly changed version of the ceremony, but ensured the bride
had a proper entrance, the couple had that fantastic moment of exchanging their vows and rings, and of course, their first kiss 😘
By the time the ceremony was over, thankfully the storm had ceased, and everyone was able to enjoy the confetti moment before heading for the reception and canapés in the large covered evening area, which had been cleaned
up and reset for the drinks 🍸
And now the Planning Team, along with the superb venue staff and catering staff, got to work, clearing the mess that were the tables, re-locating and re-setting them, salvaging everything they could from the original set
up and conjuring up substitute decor, including bed sheets for table linen, etc! Mammoth task, but the results, as you can see from the videos, were superb!
The meal was a little delayed, but the atmosphere and mood was one of utter joy and appreciation. Job done!!! Delighted couple!!! Amazed guests!!! Exhausted Planning Team 😆
