As neurodiversity is a central part of Fetlesque, we are pleased to be able to offer this workshop and conversation “Autism and Accessibility” facilitated by which plans to be a morning of informative and interactive discussion. As she approaches the one year anniversary of her late diagnosis of ASD, Purrsia is welcoming all to attend who are interested in learning more about autism along with those who would like to share their own experiences. It would be great to see event curators, producers and organisers attend as we will be focusing on different ways to make various events more accessible for autistic and neurodivergent people. BIPOC autistic and neurodivergent individuals are particularly encouraged to attend if you can. There will be visual slides, some video content, some music at times and opportunities to have breaks.
We always have stim/fidget toys at fetlesque workshops and events but also welcome people to bring their own sensory supports. If you are more relaxed sitting on the floor then please bring a mat for your comfort. We look forward to sharing this time with you!
