The big decisions are behind you, but suddenly the smallest details take centre stage.

You’re confirming suppliers, finalising guest numbers, answering last-minute questions, checking packing lists, and wondering why your brain has decided that remembering the cake knife is now a matter of national importance.

As a planner, I know exactly what happens during this stage.

As a bride, I can confirm it is somehow even more intense when it’s your own wedding.

But hidden amongst the spreadsheets, timelines, WhatsApp messages and weather apps is something really lovely.

Excitement.

The kind that sneaks up on you when you realise that all the planning is almost over.

Soon there won’t be another checklist to write.

There will just be a wedding.

A small detail, but one I’ll remember forever. 🤍

For our civil ceremony, I wanted everything to feel very different from what we’re creating in the Cotswolds this June. Simpler, quieter, more intimate. Almost like a pause before the celebration.

This moment in Palermo was never meant to be the full expression of our wedding, but something softer. Just us, our families, and the feeling of beginning.

The bouquet followed that same idea. Sculptural, understated, and quietly romantic. understood it instantly and brought it to life so beautifully.

Sometimes contrast is what makes each moment feel even more special.

Our legal ceremony in Palermo. The best day of our lives so far.

There was something so special about keeping it simple, just us, our closest people, and the city that holds so much of our story. No distractions, no pressure, just a moment to pause and truly take it all in.

Now, with this chapter behind us, we’re looking ahead to June and celebrating again in the Cotswolds, bringing everything together with the people we love.

Two places, one story, and so much more to come.

As a planner, I always say this is where everything shifts. From planning to trusting. From thinking to feeling.
