I just want to be transparent and clear so that my visitors don't stumble into something unexpected.

There has been known to be an outbreak of joy in Lanaland. It is very common and quite infectious and occurs all year round. It tends to begin with a gentle smile and can easily break into uncontrollable giggles and beaming smiles with a distinct tone of happiness lingering in the air.

It can affect memory, development and the nervous system with guests as young as a few months old involuntarily wiggling their bodies, fingers and toes. Bouncing and twirling is another common effect.

Music seems to be a fertiliser for these symptoms. Combined with good vibes and open hearts, it can really be quite strong and wonderful. Sometimes subtle, sometimes overpowering, rarely uncomfortable and never dangerous.

Proceed with caution.

Hi, I'm Ilana
And I thought it's about time that I introduce myself properly 😊

I've been creating magical musical experiences for little people and their grown ups for over 23yrs!
So that's 23 years of Sleeping Bunnies! Of first words and first steps and the screams from the mamas as they happen. Of first time parents nervously attending their first ever class and confidently strutting in years later with their 3rd ir even 4th child. Of babies becoming toddlers before my eyes and uncountable magic moments.

It all began way before I had my own family, and quite by accident when the music class my nieces went to needed a new group leader and i needed flexible work while i was singing in lots of bands. A few years later when I was pregnant it became the perfect job to bring my babies along to, it worked around nursery, then school and now my kids are teenagers and it still works. It's all about family and music, connection, communication and celebration. Plus the babies are really really cute and that adds to the charm!

I'm a singer and a songwriter. I've created 3 children's albums (so far) and have been writing, recording and performing since I was a teenager. I've had my songs played on Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music, i've played Glastonbury (twice) and lots of other festivals too and I have, and still do, perform jazz and my own music at private and public events.

So why Lanaland? And why am I still here?
Because I love music, I love human connection, I love bringing people together and creating joyful experiences, I love the little ones and watching them grow and develop, I love the good vibes we release into the world daily. It's flexible, it's fun, and it's a privilege. Plus who doesn't want to go to work and celebrate every day?

So that's some of the who, when, how and why I'm still here. And i'm so pleased that you are too!
