Deep in the heart of India lies a temple that has stood the test of time, carved from a single rock over 1,200 years ago.

Welcome to the Kailash Temple, a remarkable rock-cut temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, and a marvel of engineering and architecture that leaves visitors breathless.

There is a temple Constructed in the 8th century, it is renowned as one of the most important examples of rock cut architecture.

This majestic temple is considered to be a masterpiece of ancient Indian rock-cut architecture.

It stands majestically on two sides of the mountain, carved from top to bottom. It is said that it was sculpted out of a single rock where about 4 million tons of rock was removed and is the largest monolithic structure in the world ever created by humans on the planet

There is a chamber houses a Shiva lingam which is the center of the shrine. This lingam is surrounded by figures of Lord Vishnu, Narayana and Brahma, representing the Hindu trinity.

The Kailash temple is a remarkable building and and visited by millions of people every year.
