Merry Marylebone 2025 💥

Markets, music, workshops, warming drinks, global food traders, fairground rides, and of course, Santa’s Grotto. You name it, Marylebone Village’s festival light switch-on event has got it.

It was a pleasure to produce this event in collaboration with the team at and The Howard de Walden Estate once again - providing event production, management, health & safety, operations and artist liaison to ensure the event went ahead safely - all while raising money for a great cause, .

This year, our teams from across We Group (, and .ops) came together to deliver the event - and what a team effort it was.

Somehow, it’s already nearly Christmas - how time flies. Luckily, that means some of London’s most cherished festivities are just around the corner...

Our teams at We Group have been working with the The Howard de Walden Estate for many years, and we are excited to be producing and managing Merry Marylebone in collaboration once again.

The events offers locals and visitors of all ages the opportunity to enjoy a range of activities (workshops, markets, grottos and more) in the heart of Marylebone Village, encouraging footfall in the area and spend for businesses. This year, the switch-on event is also raising money for The Marylebone Project - the largest and longest-running centre of its kind in the UK, which provides life-changing help for homeless women.

This event has been months in the making, and we’re excited to see it come to life this Wednesday.

We returned to the iconic last week to celebrate Diwali in partnership with ⭐️

The market came alive with vibrant live performances from Dhol drummers and Bollywood dancers, while visitors got creative at the lantern lamp-making workshop 🪔✨

Last week, our team at We Are Placemaking hosted another Future of Placemaking networking event - bringing together BIDs, developers and other key members of the placemaking community.

Our key takeaways from the discussion:

Events with Meaning – amid the cost of living crisis, residents and businesses are seeking events that have real meaning, feel genuinely worthwhile and will have a lasting impact on their space.

Identity – hyperlocal connections matter more than ever, so programming that reflects the people and communities of a specific place is essential.

Exploring New Trends – moving beyond the expected and pushing creative boundaries in placemaking, and always looking ahead for future trends, as we identified in our presentation to guests.

Competitive socialising events are a great way to entice new visitors into a space.

We’re really excited to be supporting Related Argent with the delivery of The Play-Offs - the UK’s first competitive socialising weekender taking place in Brent Cross Town.

The event, taking place on September 13-14, will invite guests of all ages to enjoy Chase Tag, climbing walls, high ropes, bungee runs, and other high-energy team based activities, with the chance to watch professionals compete in the International Chase Off.

The event is all about getting moving and trying something new - putting skills, speed and teamwork to the test. No sporting background is required, just enthusiasm to have fun. You can find more information via the link in bio☝️

Chase Tag is a combination of parkour and classic playground tag. As part of The Play Offs - the UK’s first competitive socialising weekender which we’re produced in collaboration with Related Argent - guests will have the opportunity to take part in the game, as well as a huge variety of other free activities to enjoy across the weekend in Brent Cross Town.

Professional players will also be competing in an International Chase Off for guests to watch live at the event. In the meantime, free workshops are being led by professionals every Friday in the lead up to the event. More information can be found via the link in bio☝️
