For years, a certain types of “expert” have insisted that Merseyside doesn’t have a real rock and metal scene. You’ve must have heard the lines: “Liverpool’s

Awesome review of the Grand Final by ROCKFLESH, thanks for the kind words 🤘

Live Review : Bloodstock Metal 2 The Masses Merseyside Final 2026 @ Box:Park, Liverpool on July 4th 2026
Bloodstock’s Metal 2 the Masses Merseyside Final represents the annual pressure cooker where the region’s metal scene proves its worth in choosing it’s lesser known champion to send to the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock. This is where the lifers who’ve kept Merseyside heavy through droughts and downpours stand shoulder‑to‑shoulder with the hungry newcomers desperate to claw their way into Bloodstock’s hallowed fields. It’s grassroots in the truest sense - sweat‑stained, stubborn, and fiercely communal. It’s true to say that these finals across the country, and in fact beyond, are fast becoming the backbone of the metal scene.

Metal 2 The Masses Merseyside & ArchiveliverpooL What a day!
From the moment I arrived greeted by Phil and talking to Shell and Lee outside Arc:hive, there was a buzz about the place with people getting things set up between the 2 venues, it was clear something special was happening.
We obviously only played there a couple of weeks ago at Heat 4 but when all the familiar faces started showing up, it already felt like a reunion, seeing some old faces and saying alright to people we had only met 2 weeks ago!
We werent one of the competing bands so we were there to have fun, play a completely new set and soak up the good vibes…. and we did!
From getting the bands set up, to slot times, change overs, the catering, AAA passes, VIP areas, plus just how cool all staff and people running the show, this was so well organized and we felt so looked after, it was amazing to be a part of, I applaud everyone involved, youve acheived something truly incredible - We would be honoured to be included in any more shows in the future.
Congratulations to ARCHAEA on winning the slot on the New blood stage at Bloodstock - we wish you all the best.
Finally thank you again to Phil - you had a vision and pulled it off… same again next year?!?!
Thanks everyone from your boys in SEVEN DAYS DEAD.
