As I have so many new followers I thought I had better reintroduced myself.

I’m Zoe and I’m the very proud owner of Pop Up Play Village covering north, east and mid Cornwall. I’m an ex primary school teacher with over 25 years experience in EYFS and KS1.

I live in Upton Cross (near Liskeard) with my husband and my beautiful daughter who has just turned 17. Not to forget our crazy dog Buster! 🐕

I left teaching 4 years ago to set up my little business with the hope of gaining a better work life balance while still working with children without the excessive workload. I love the whole philosophy behind role play. Play is so underrated and is essential for happy and healthy children. In a world of technology and social media, we have never needed sessions like Pop Up Play Village more. To enable children to explore, use their imaginations, develop social skills and build on their language and vocabulary. Role play is also a fabulous way for children to copy and build on what they know and see, building confidence and resilience. It’s also perfect to help prepare them for nursery, school or to support education at home.

If you have not been to a play session before here’s what to expect.

- A warm welcome
- A supportive and friendly environment
- Child initiated play from the start. No circle time. No trying to make your child join in or ‘watch’ something.
- Role play areas set up with a different theme each month. These are rotated so no session is ever the same.
- Beautiful high quality resources
- A baby play area in the centre
- Open plan design so you can see your children at all times.
- Hot and cold drinks and simple snacks for adults and children.

Our sessions cater perfectly for children 0-8 years of age and are incredibly inclusive. Older children are always welcome and sessions also cater brilliantly for children with additional needs.

I run sessions in village/town halls, nurseries, schools, corporate events, horticultural shows, steam rallies and summer fairs. I do fabulous parties and can even pop up at your wedding. We can literally pop up anywhere!!!
