A friendly plea to local dog walkers from our Greens Team:
'We'd just like to kindly ask all local dog walkers for a little help in looking after our golf course.
Our team spends many hours each day preparing the course, especially the greens and the bunkers, so they're in the best possible condition for everyone playing golf. Unfortunately, when dogs run across the greens or through bunkers, their claws can cause damage that takes time and effort to repair. This can also make it appear as though we haven't carried out our work to the standard we strive for.
We'd also like to ask that any sticks your dogs have been chewing are not left on the greens or surrounding areas. Chewed-up sticks can easily get caught in our mowing equipment leading to unnecessary machine repairs, downtime and extra work for our team. Something that seems small can have a surprisingly big impact on the daily maintenance of the course. We'd really appreciate it if dogs could be kept on leads and walked only on the authorised bridle paths and walkways, rather than across the playing areas of the course. We understand that many people enjoy waling around the beautiful surroundings, and we're grateful for your co-operation in helping us keep the course in great condition for everyone to enjoy.
Thank you for your understanding, support and consideraion.'
