"You clearly love what you do because it came across to each and every one of us"
Today I was approached by a person attending one of the funerals I officated and the above words are what they said as they approached me.
And the simple answer is YES!
But there is so much more to it.
I would love to have the opportunity to sit with everyone I work with and tell them how truly special my work is to me.
I would love for an extra few hours in my day to write at length about how each and every family I meet and each and every service I write for them, finds a forever home within me and shapes me in some way.
I never take for granted the work I do or the trust families put in me to help write their special persons story!
My second service today saw a lady walk up to me and say "well if you didn't know D, you definitely did by the time you left her service!"... That to me is all I needed to hear. Mission accomplished, story told, my heart was full.
So if you ever need a listening ear, a hand held, a hug and a friendly face, I'll be there, as I gently guide you, write down your memories and be your voice at a time when the words don't seem so easy to find.
