This year has been about building, refining, and committing to ideas that actually matter.

From sharing moments that connect generations through gaming, to shaping a clearer brand identity, to documenting personal passions and projects that started as ideas and turned into real progress, 2025 has been a year of momentum.

There were posts about growth.
Posts about learning curves.
Posts about taking something imperfect and making it better.

And behind every one of them was the same intention: do meaningful work, do it properly, and keep moving forward.

Thank you to everyone who engaged, supported, challenged, or simply followed along. None of it goes unnoticed.

2026 is already in motion, clearer, sharper, and more focused.

🎮 Gaming Has the Power to Do Good

At Fable Play, we believe gaming is about more than entertainment — it’s about connection, joy, and creating meaningful moments for people of all ages.

This Christmas, we were proud to play a small part in supporting the community in Wigan by helping provide a full gaming setup for a local family, giving them something to enjoy together during the festive season.

Seeing gaming bring people together — whether in care settings, hospitals, or family homes — is exactly why Fable Play exists.

Huge respect to the wider team involved in making this happen, and a reminder of what’s possible when businesses use what they do best to give back.

🎄 The Week Before Christmas, and We’re in Full Swing 🎄

As we head into the final week before Christmas, our team has been busier than ever spreading festive cheer across our community.

✨ We’re hard at work creating our Santa for Seniors baskets, ensuring our clients feel remembered, valued, and celebrated this Christmas, and we can't thank Morrisons Leigh community page enough

🎁 We’ve been proud to donate toys to Daffodils Dreams in Wigan, helping bring joy to children and families this festive season.

🎮 This Christmas, we were also incredibly grateful to be able to gift a full gaming setup to a family in Wigan, including a Nintendo Switch 2 and a TV, bringing entertainment, connection, and a little magic into their home with thanks to Fable Play

📚 Our fantastic staff continue to work through the Care Certificate, reinforcing the high standards of care we’re committed to delivering, well done Jess!!!

❤️ And finally, we’re gifting our clients as a small thank you for trusting us and allowing us to be part of their lives.

None of this would be possible without our amazing team and the support of our wider community. This is what Christmas is all about.

What’s Inside a Small Fable Play Package and Why It Matters 🎮✨

Today I’m at a local hospital sharing how Fable Play is helping patients feel calmer, more in control, and less anxious through positive, structured gaming sessions.

The image below shows one of our Small Packages, the same kits we take into care homes and hospital wards across the UK. It’s amazing how something so simple can create moments of escape, joy, and connection for people who really need it 💛

We’re already seeing real-life reductions in stress and anxiety, improved mood, and better engagement, all from giving patients a safe space to play, relax, and just be themselves for a while.

We handle everything by bringing the kit, maintaining it, and training staff so sessions run smoothly and confidently ✔️

What started as Generational Gamers sessions with Home Instead Leigh has grown into something much bigger, and I’m proud to say that journey has now led to a nomination for The Care Innovator Award! 🏆

Back when we first started bringing gaming into care homes, it was all about connection, using play, nostalgia, and fun to bring people together. That spark became the foundation for Fable Play, and seeing the impact it’s had on both residents and staff has been incredible.

This award celebrates innovation in care, recognising people who bring new ideas to life to make a real difference, and I couldn’t be prouder to see this work recognised in that way.

Massive thanks to everyone who’s supported and believed in this project from day one. This is only the beginning. 💜🎮

From an idea to a mission — and now to a home online 💻✨

Fable Play started with a simple goal: to use gaming as a way to bring people together, spark joy, and break isolation in care homes and hospitals.

What began as small gaming sessions has grown into something so much bigger — a mission to make play accessible, meaningful, and inclusive for people of all ages and abilities.

The new website brings that vision to life. It’s where you can see what we do, the difference it’s making, and how organizations can get involved in bringing Fable Play to their community.

I’m incredibly proud of how far this has come, and this is only the beginning.
