Reporting the successful and enjoyable 4th Birthday Celebrations featuring Leicester's first Poet Laureate Mr Shay, at September's free presentation event. Some 11 of Leicester's many Poetry and Spoken Word groups were represented in performance, many thanks to all concerned. We hope to contact more for future collaboration. I have been told of 4 other groups holding public events, Open mic and featured headliners, that I had not known before. Such opportunities, for our creative endeavours. An annual Poetry Festival and ongoing 2 yearly appointment of a Leicester Poet Laureate and perhaps Junior Poet Laureate, seem quite probable after the pilot exploration of the possibility and methodology of future Poetry Committees to be set up for the appointment of our Laureate(s). Many thanks to all who have supported and made this initial step a reality. Looking forward to the next successful manifestation of the journeyxx
