deep, weighty low-end, live instrumentation, and spacious, dubwise
production—music designed to be felt as much as heard. Emerging from the UK underground, he quickly established himself as a versatile and collaborative producer, releasing music across respected labels including Tru Thoughts, Nice Up! Records, Run Tingz
Recordings, Congo Natty Bass and Unit 137, while also developing his own imprint, Bun Dem Out Bun Dem Out which he runs as a platform for heavyweight, sound system-focused releases. His output reflects a consistent commitment to reggae’s foundation while pushing its edges into modern bass-driven territory.
Over the years, he has worked with a wide range of artists spanning
reggae, dancehall, jungle and UK hip hop, including Congo Natty, Daddy
Freddy, Skibadee, Rodney P, Macka B and Lutan Fyah, alongside Devon
Morgan and Logic (People’s Army). This broad network of collaborations
highlights his ability to move fluidly between scenes while staying
anchored in reggae and sound system culture. Known for a deeply collaborative approach, Sleepy Time Ghost builds full riddims and cohesive projects rather than standalone tracks—shaping entire sonic worlds around vocalists while maintaining a signature balance of raw energy and refined production. His music blends analog warmth, stripped-back arrangements, and basslines engineered for maximum
impact in a sound system setting.
In his most recent phase, his focus has shifted toward deeper long-form
collaborations and album projects, including work with Shumba Youth,
Falle Nioke and Cedric Myton. These projects continue his trajectory of
connecting roots reggae heritage with forward-thinking global influences.
