At the Friar’s Club dinner in Los Angeles on Valentine’s Day, 1957, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin sat side by side, trading quips like they were on stage instead of at dinner. When someone teased Dean about spending Valentine’s away from Jeannie, he raised his glass toward Frank and said, “Don’t worry, I brought my date—he even sings.”

Frank shot back, “Careful, pal, or I’ll start charging you alimony.” The whole room roared—classic Rat Pack banter, turning a formal dinner into a comedy show.
