Salt House have been a mainstay on the folk scene for over a decade. Lancaster promoter Jack is cycling from coast 2 coast in a medieval suit of armour to raise funds for Along the Watchtower music festival.

The route is known as the Way of the Roses and stretches 175 miles from Morecambe to Bridlington. He’s chosen this challenge as the music festival is taking place at Lancaster Castle to experience a slice of medieval life. The suit of armour weighs 37.5kg but Jack’s steed is feeling unwell so he’ll be using a bicycle instead.

The Festival is happening over two weekends in august, 8th 9th, 15th & 16th, and is free! It will be hosted by the Duchy of Lancaster and the Melodrome Mobile Stage, featuring many Lancaster legends as well as others. Confirmed playing are Morton Betts and Las Foking Biches all the way from Mexico.
