Right.
Apparently, flowers are “too expensive.” 😬🌸💸
I hear it all the time. 🤯
Usually from someone holding a £7 coffee, scrolling Instagram on a £1,200 phone, while explaining that £40 for a hand-tied bouquet is outrageous. 💎
But sure. The florist is the problem. 👌
Let me explain this slowly…
You’re not paying £40 for “some flowers.” 🌷
You’re paying for…
💸 The fresh stock arriving several times a week.
💸 The hours spent conditioning and caring for every stem.
💸 The rent, rates, insurance, electricity and water.
💸 The ribbons, wrapping, boxes and bags.
💸 The staff being paid.
💸 The delivery van on the road.
💸 The card machine taking its little cut every time you tap.
💸 And the fact that when a wedding flower order changes at 9pm… it’s me rearranging everything.
You’re not just buying flowers. 💐
You’re buying the moment someone smiles when they open the door.
❤️ The bouquet that says “I love you.”
❤️ The flowers that welcome a new baby.
❤️ The arrangement that says “I’m sorry.”
❤️ The tribute that says goodbye when words aren’t enough.
Flowers aren’t a necessity.
But neither are birthday cakes, holidays, or date nights.
Some things exist simply to bring joy, comfort and connection. 🌸
And here’s the bit I find fascinating…
The same people who say flowers are too expensive are often the first to say how important it is to support local businesses. 🏡
We don’t just sell flowers.
We sell:
👉 Anniversaries.
👉 Celebrations.
👉 Congratulations.
👉 Comfort.
👉 Memories.
👉 Moments people never forget.
If you want cheap, grab a supermarket bunch and hope for the best. 🤷♀️
But please don’t confuse low cost with value.
Anyway, I’ll be over here… apparently overcharging for flowers, years of experience, creativity, and making people smile. 🌷😂
