Who doesn’t love a bit of history?

Who Was Saint Valentine? ❤️

Saint Valentine was a Roman priest who lived in the 3rd century during the reign of Emperor Claudius II. He is believed to have performed secret marriages for Christian couples at a time when marriage was banned for young soldiers. For this, he was arrested and later executed on February 14, 269 AD.

According to legend, before his ex*****on, he sent a note to the jailer’s daughter signed “From your Valentine”, inspiring the tradition of love notes. Over time, February 14th became associated with romance, and Saint Valentine became the patron saint of lovers.

Today, Valentine’s Day is celebrated worldwide with expressions of love, whether through gifts, cards, or heartfelt gestures.
