Morning gorgeous folk, happy Sunday 🩷
I’ve been a bit absent here as I mostly do Instagram these days but I know a lot of you follow here instead so I shall try and do more on here again…
This is what we ve been upto lately…enjoying the British flower season and my only styled shoot of this year.
How is it virtually September already?!
So this shoots been in my mind for months. I love British flowers, local, chemical free, sustainable and pretty damned beautiful. I asked a lovely local flower grower Sue at thefloralharvest if I could do a shoot in her meadow. She grows tons of beautiful flowers but also has a wild flower meadow. The only time that fitted was last Friday, the meadow’s at the end of its season, full of sculptural wild carrot and still gorgeous.
After months of dry weather, we had torrential rain on Friday…I was worried, how would the Meadow Goddess shoot look if it wasn’t in a meadow?!
One of my favourite things is working with this incredible bunch of local Creatives time and again…they are all experts in their field but more than that they are the best of humans. Kind, creative, passionate, enthusiastic and I love all of them.
Between the downpours we got what we wanted and more! I set the table up in a dry spell and had nearly finished when the heavens opened! Grabbed the napkins and fled under a tree! So the table is actually soaked but hopefully, you can’t tell. We persevered and the sun eventually broke free. Every shoot we do is my favourite but I think this one will remain so…this is just one of my phone snaps…
