Open for lunch on Saturday!!!! PLEASE READ

A few people have said they're missing us. We've not been out as much recently for one reason or another....too many to go into on social media.

We had an event booked for this coming weekend, but unfortunately this event has been postponed 🙁

So we've decided to open from the front of our house in Mossfield for lunch time on Saturday. We'll be open from 12pm - 2pm. We can only accept pre orders for this and they'll need to be in by 12pm on Friday (reasons below if your interested*)

Online Ordering through our page is open now!!!

*We know it's a little complicated, but it's the absolute best we can do with out breaking any licencing rules - unfortunately we can't continue to open to the general public from our house without planning permission - but if we know people are coming, then it's a private booking and it's okay - WEIRD!! So no, Mr Postman, we can't serve you unless you tell us you're coming the day before 🤷

Planning permission is required if you operate from the same location for more than 28 days in the year - we have so far operated 8 times from our house location, but apparently it adds up if we haven't moved the vehicle between times.

It's unfortunate red tape like this that is making so many businesses like ours struggle, but we hope your continued support of us and other local business will help us all to thrive.

What a weekend!!!

Whilst thinking about it being 1 year since we had our first opening with the trailer, we turned on the TV to see it clearly means a lot to the entire nation.

There were celebrations up and down the country with people waving the Scottish flags and wearing the Biadh Blasta colours. Some wearing red which is obviously acknowledging that it's only fresh beef we use in our smash burgers.

Thank you so much for your continued support.

Maybe there'll be more celebrations this weekend when we open up for lunch on Saturday - location tbc.

Due to the up and down nature of the hospitality sector, at biadh blasta we're constantly looking at ways to freshen things up.

Most of you know this isn't something that we do full time (although that would be brilliant). But when we go out, we like to make you all the best food we can.

Having 5 kids, we know it's difficult to have the time to make fresh nutritious meals for the family.

So would any of you be interested in mid week meals fully packed with nutrition? A simple service where we make your meal and you simply collect it from the trailer on your way home. Pop it in the oven and think of nothing else other than enjoying it around 45 minutes later.

We'll have trays for 1, 2 or 4 people.

What a day!!!!!!

Usually when we give a report on our day, we thank the local community for coming.

This time, however, we have many different thank yous.

Thanks to Alba transportation solutions for getting us there and back - you guys are gems.

Thanks to Emma's Fancy Wee Piece for letting us use the generator when ours went down (also the lovely coffee too)

Thanks to Panda Bites for giving us a few samples of your amazing food.

Despite a collapsed roof and a faulty generator, we enjoyed a day out in the city meeting new people - but it was nice to see some friends and regulars coming to support us.

We're now glad to be back home though, where we're planning our next outing.

Inverness......

We're looking forward to opening on Falcon square as part of the Moray Markets & Car Boot Sales team.

The market opens at 9am, but we'll be open a little later than this - we can't imagine there'll be a demand for Toasties at 9am. We'll be open all day until 4/5pm.

Come and try our Loaded fries with Haggis and Pepper Sauce, or our Hunter's Chicken Burger (there's other things on the menu too).

We know a lot of our regulars will be attending the DNA dance annual fundraiser in Alness - we hope a great day is had by all.

So Inverness friends....

We're excited to announce that we'll be on Falcon square on Saturday from 9 - 5. Please share this with your friends.

On Saturday, one lovely lady asked a question in Gaelic. It was one of those moments where David was so focused on the task in hand and it threw him off guard - it's not often we hear Gaelic spoken. He knew what the lady said, but panicked because he couldn't answer her back 😅

You see, Despite naming our business a Gaelic name, we know very few words in this blesséd language.

Jeni knows a few words, and knows what she knows from David.

David knows some words and phrases, but often gets the language jumbled up.

The name is an acknowledgement to our roots on the Outer Hebrides. It simply means 'Tasty Food'.

Spotted in Invergordon.

A really great day serving at the 'summer' craft fair. Didn't feel like summer at all. We brought a fan as we expected it to be boiling - should have taken the umbrellas instead.

Thank you to Ross Sutherland Rugby Club for having us part of the event.

We're having a couple of weeks where the trailer isn't going to be open in Ross shire. Come and find us next Saturday in Inverness!!!!
