The photoILKLEY photography festival has officially announced a creative partnership with local arts organisation Village Pavilion to launch an interactive Photo Art Vending Machine for the 2026 summer season.
Installed at Ilkley Manor House, the vending machine will allow visitors to purchase an original, pocket-sized piece of photographic art for just 50p. The project aims to make art accessible to the wider community while raising vital funds, as all proceeds will directly support Ilkley Manor House.

Call for Photographer Submissions

The organisers are officially seeking open submissions from photographers of all backgrounds and skill levels who wish to donate their work. To fit the vending machine mechanisms, artworks must be printed small or cropped to a maximum size of A7 (10 x 7 cm).

Artists looking to get involved must package their prints using the following guidelines:

Drop-off: Post photographs directly through the Ilkley Manor House letterbox (located to the left of the main entrance door).

By Mail: Send submissions via post to: Ilkley Manor House, Castle Yard, Ilkley, LS29 9DT.

All submissions must be placed in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the artist’s name and labelled 'vending machine'

Deadline: The final cutoff date for physical submissions is 30 June 2026.

Supporting Arborist at our next show is Serin, a Leeds-based queer/trans songwriting/folk duo, made up of Wren Boon and Lucy Bacon.

They combine vocal harmonies, powerful violin melodies and gentle guitar to make a sound which has been described as 'summat a bit different’. They perform original and traditional songs from the UK and US, speaking to themes such as gender/queerness, birds and home/belonging.

Fresh on the Leeds scene, having shared the stage with folk wonders including Melbourne Duo Charm of Finches, and English folk musician George Sansome, the
pair released their debut EP in Autumn 2025.

“Captivating [...] enchanting” - BBC Introducing Leeds

“I hope they soon produce a record as their lyrics are worth repeat listening […] Both performers showed themselves very accomplished singers with skillful harmonisation.” – Leeds Living

“Very graceful, very beautiful [...] Giving those lovely folk tingles of warmer months.” - Get in Her Ears Soho Radio Show
