Your Three Days humanist wedding, vow renewal & naming ceremonies in Yorkshire, Peak District & N West | LGBTQ+ incl. | 500+ reviews | Words and Wisdom ceremony, reception, videography & funeral writing + Portraits in Prose photo book texts etc. Based in West Yorkshire, I'm an experienced Humanist Wedding, Naming, Vow Renewal and Memorial Celebrant leading beautiful Your Three Days humanist ceremo

nies throughout Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and beyond. I regularly lead humanist wedding, naming, vow renewal and memorial ceremonies across Yorkshire, Manchester and Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire, as well as further afield. Accredited with Humanists UK since 2010, in the last 14 years I've designed, written and led nearly 400 bespoke wedding, naming, vow renewal and memorial ceremonies. If you'd like to find out more go to www.yourthreedays.com

Over time, more and more people have asked me to write for them in different ways and so now Your Three Days has two sister businesses: Words and Wisdom and Portraits in Prose. You can see the quality, resonance and impact such bespoke expression can have in my 100+ pages of superlative testimonials. Inevitably, my Your Three Days diary usually requires me to be in a certain place on a certain date. However, with Words and Wisdom and Portraits in Prose I can write for clients nationwide without ever having to be physically present. Words and Wisdom involves my creating bespoke wedding ceremony writing for Registrar-led ceremonies such as 'Story so far' sections, readings and vow and ring exchanges; bespoke wedding reception texts and engagement/wedding videography scripts. I also have a funeral and memorial bespoke writing range, as well as offering a full ceremony consultancy service too. To find out more go to www.wordsandwisdom.co.uk

Portraits in Prose are bespoke texts that can be commissioned to celebrate the milestones of life such as a new arrival, growing family, significant birthday or anniversary, an engagement or marriage, a long life well-lived or 'in memoriam' after a loved one has died. They can have multiple contributors, be written to a variety of lengths and either be framed, styled or used to enhance a photo book. To find out more go to www.portraitsinprose.co.uk

I have loved stories since I was a little girl - reading them, writing them, hearing them, imagining them... And now I get to tell people's stories for a living. It really is a dream 'job' for me.

Only it is so much more than how I pay my bills.

To stand with a bride and groom as they say vows that are theirs and only theirs. To name a child in a naming ceremony written only for them. To pay tribute to a lost loved one in their loved ones' words.

To work with two brides on bespoke writing for their wedding script that makes their day truly their own. To support and coach a father of the bride so he can give the speech he's been writing quietly over years, not just weeks. To work with family members to create a eulogy that becomes the central focus of a celebration of their beloved relative's whole life.

To create a text that's going to be framed on a new baby's nursery wall, welcoming them to the world. To write the text that fills a photo book in honour of a husband and husband's first big wedding anniversary. To work with a wedding stationer to make sure that my bespoke writing for their clients' Order of Service will really make their wedding stationery sing.

Fascinating, entertaining, touching and inspiring stories, one and all. What an honour it is to tell them.

I always thank them profusely of course, but I don't think clients realise just how touched I am when they unexpectedly give me gifts.

So thank you very much to Debs and Ricky for my beautiful bouquet. The looks on your faces during your handfasting were more than enough reward, but it has been wonderful to have this colourful reminder of you both in the house all week. 🥰

I know I say it all the time, but I really do work for the nicest people.

I'm delighted to have been invited to contribute to and feature in another Rock My Wedding article - 'The Ultimate Guide to Writing Your Wedding Vows'. 😊

This time I had two hats on, both as an experienced Humanist wedding Celebrant working across Yorkshire, the Peak District and North West (Your Three Days - www.yourthreedays.com) and a writer of bespoke vows for Registrar-led weddings or similar held anywhere in the world (Words and Wisdom - www.wordsandwisdom.co.uk).

Time for another introduction perhaps, so hello world, this is me. 😊

My name is Hannah Wroe Gill and I'm a HUK Accredited Humanist Celebrant, speechwriter, writer, ceremony consultant and writing coach based in the picturesque Pennine village of Marsden, West Yorkshire.

In 2010 I set up my humanist ceremonies business Your Three Days, designing, writing and leading unforgettable bespoke ceremonies across Yorkshire, the Peak District, North West and beyond. It has been both an enormous privilege and pleasure to have worked with so many amazing couples and families over the years.

The more ceremonies I performed, so sister businesses Words and Wisdom and Portraits in Prose were born, created in response to ceremony guests asking me to write for them, their families and their friends. It also meant my writing offer was able to extend worldwide for the first time.

Through Words and Wisdom I create versatile texts for Registrar-led wedding ceremonies as well as reception toasts and speeches. I also write for funerals and create videography scripts, with a comprehensive consultancy and coaching service available too. I don't need to be physically present at any time, so can work extremely flexibly.

Through Portraits in Prose I create innovative text you can use within any bespoke wedding stationery, as well as writing photo book texts and framed pieces that celebrate the milestones of life. Both the latter are ideal as unique and thoughtful gifts. Again, I don't need to be present in person at any point, so can write for anyone, anywhere.

All my writing comes from the same rewarding approach and wonderful source, as I gather your words and those of your loved ones to write with. If you'd like to find out more about all that's possible, just get in touch. I'll be delighted to hear from you.

Warmly, as ever,
Hannah

BEAUTIFUL BESPOKE WRITING THAT YOU CAN FRAME OR USE IN A PHOTOBOOK - AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE

I know we're all pretending winter didn't happen now that the sun is now, occasionally at least, back with us, but here's a flashback to an ad I was proud to have featured in The Simple Things magazine a few months ago. ☺ If you've not come across it before, it's a wonderful magazine, all about taking the time to live well and appreciate all the good you have in your life. For that reason it seemed an excellent place for one of my Portraits in Prose ads. If you're intrigued, just find out more at www.portraitsinprose.co.uk or message me here on Facebook. 'We chose a hand-tying ceremony because we wanted our wedding to feel deeply personal and meaningful, not scripted or generic and from our very first conversation, we knew we’d made the right choice with you.

The process leading up to the day was calm, thoughtful and genuinely supportive. You really took the time to understand us as a couple and as a family, especially how important it was for our children to be included in the ceremony rather than just watching from the sidelines. That meant so much to us. The ideas you suggested, the way you listened, and how you shaped the ceremony around our story made it feel completely ours.

On the day itself, the ceremony was even more special than we’d imagined. It felt warm, emotional and intimate without being overwhelming or awkward. The children being involved gave the whole moment a sense of togetherness and unity, and it truly felt like we were marking the joining of a family, not just a couple. So many people commented afterwards on how beautiful, relaxed and meaningful the ceremony was.

We would absolutely recommend a hand-tying ceremony and you as a Celebrant to anyone who wants something personal, inclusive and heartfelt. It didn’t feel like we were fitting into a template; it felt like our story was being honoured and shared in the most lovely way.

Thank you for making such an important part of our day so memorable.'

We’re lucky enough to have the gorgeous New Beginnings babywear boutique in my home village of Marsden, West Yorkshire, and owner Karen Standrin has kindly agreed to stock some of my family-focused bespoke writing cards.

Karen offers a delightful range of baby clothing including an exclusive brand, Ophelia’s World, which is made locally in Huddersfield. She also sells wooden and soft toys, dolls and books that would make ideal gifts as well as various other accessories. Her customer service is second to none, she has a wonderful eye for quality and her charming shop is one of those that’s just a pleasure to go into.

So if you need anything baby related, either for yourself or as a gift, and want to support a truly special small business, it really is worth paying New Beginnings a visit sometime soon. I’d also recommend following Karen's page as she’s always active on social media, showcasing her stock etc and generally putting the rest of us to shame. 😊

A big thank you to Karen for her support as well. I so appreciate it when already busy people are willing to help another small business. HWG

‘We got married in the summer of 2025, and as we didn’t personally know anyone who could deliver our ceremony, we wanted someone who could bring something a little different - something more personal and unique than a traditional wedding. That’s exactly what Hannah did for us. She made our day truly unforgettable.

After reading Hannah’s glowing reviews on Humanists UK we decided to reach out - and from her very first response, we knew she was the one. It instantly felt like she was meant to deliver our wedding ceremony.

From the start, Hannah was professional, warm, and genuinely interested in getting to know us. She kept in regular contact, making sure we felt completely ready for the big day. Hannah took the time to learn about our story in detail, giving us thoughtful prompts and questions so she could capture the heart of our relationship in her script. She even arranged a video call at a time convenient for us to walk through exactly how the ceremony would go. She covered things we’d never even thought to discuss, which made a huge difference to how smoothly and beautifully the day unfolded.

Weeks before the wedding, Hannah sent us her full ceremony script - word for word - so we knew exactly what to expect. It was personal, heartfelt, and perfectly us.

On the day itself, Hannah arrived early, calm and composed, checking in with each of us separately to make sure we were both ready. What impressed us most was how much more she did beyond the ceremony. She instantly built a great rapport with the venue team and took charge of coordinating how everything would run before, during, and after the service.

And then came the ceremony itself - and wow. From her very first words to the final moment, Hannah had every single person captivated. She told our love story as if she had known us for years. Her delivery was clear, confident, and full of personality - with just the right amount of humour that had our guests laughing and smiling throughout.

Afterwards, Hannah stayed to chat with our guests, which was such a lovely touch. Everyone commented on how incredible she was and how they’d never experienced a ceremony quite like it before.
Hannah’s passion for what she does shines through in every detail. We couldn’t have wished for anyone better to deliver our special day.

If you’re looking for someone to create a ceremony that’s personal, stylish, full of heart, and unforgettable - look no further than Hannah. She truly made our wedding the best day of our lives.

Thank you, Hannah, for everything.’
