Just dropping into deliver a heartfelt thankyou to everyone that spent their hard-earned cash with us yesterday at our Autumn Event. A big thank you to all the gorgeous exhibitors, especially to Enid who took the brunt of the cold. I'm still warming up as it was pretty nippy in hallway. Special thanks to the ladies that give their time to create the community cafe. I set up my events 13 years ago to help my struggling business. I was on my knees travelling up and down the country to events. Setting up on my doorstep allowed me to create something truly special and we have set up in some magnificent places alongside our flagship home. We have had some cracking years with venues heaving under the visitor numbers. This year has been especially tough in the trade, it doesn't feel like anything I have experienced before and it is worrying. I can't thank all you generous folk enough for supporting us yesterday. We have just one gathering left this year and I am thinking hard about the best move for next year to ensure that our exhibitors can have a fruitful day with us, especially as we face rising fuel and living costs.
The festive season is potentially the busiest for most of us and helps to pay some of the bills in the lean months. I have a number of places left on my workshop, the 6th of December, two sessions. The workshop supports the Methodist Church as well as my tiny business. It's paying bills and putting food on the table, its not buying the next Hobbs dress or going towards an exotic holiday (I don't even know what that is). When you make your choices this year, be sure to support a small business. Thank you x
