Fairkytes Live Fairkytes Live is Hornchurch’s newest live music venue. The venue, which has a licensed bar, has an exciting line up planned for the coming year.

Situated within the Annexe of Fairkytes Arts Centre in Billet Lane, Fairkytes Live offers an eclectic mix of rock, blues, jazz, classical and folk and provides a showcase for artists ranging from professional performers to emerging local talent of all ages. New performers are always being sought, please post here if you are interested in playing and we will contact you.

HAVERING VOICE 2020

Calling all singers... Fairkytes Live will once again be running our annual Havering Voice competition on Friday 2 October 2020.

We hope that we may be able to host this at the venue as we always have done, dependent on Covid-19 performance restrictions. If this is not possible, we will organise a virtual competition.

Please share this as widely as possible, singers of all ages (over 11) welcome, any genre or level of development.

HAVEIRNG VOICE 2020

Calling all singers... Fairkytes Live will host this year's Havering Voice singing competition on Friday 2 October.

As in previous years, we hope to be able to do so live at Fairkytes Arts Centre, Hornchurch, but, if this is not possible, alternative arrangements will be made to run a virtual competition.

It is open to all ages (over 11), any standard or genre.

TWO YEAR BREAK

Ahead of this evening's Fairkytes Live Presents video of local performers, we'd like to show this...

by Two Year Break is currently getting serious airplay on Kerrang! TV.

Two Year Break gigged at Fairkytes Live when they were young.They played on our stage at the Havering Show (twice)... Every small venue hopes that some day, the young musicians they help along the way will go onto greater things, so we're more than just a little bit proud of them!

Do please share this around and support them, if you can, on Spotify, iTunes, etc. We hope they will inspire more young talent and show what can be achieved.

HAVERING ARTS FESTIVAL ONLINE

FAIRKYTES LIVE PRESENTS ... Ep.1
Following last weekend's round up of past performers at farikytes Live, we have something a little more up to date this evening. We're launching a short video of music videos sent in to us from around the borough,

While we're lacking live music, we have put together a selection of recent performances and hope to update it weekly with more music. Musicians or singers who would like to be featured are invited to submit videos to [email protected]

The first one on the Havering Culture YouTube channel this evening at 7pm features jazz guitarist Mark Etherington, singer Josh Barber and two family groups who entered quite fabulous contributions to the Last Band Standing ... At Home challenge (if you like nine year-old twins playing drums and guitar brilliantly, then it's really, really, really worth seeing, trust us!)
