Due to taking over the business in the last couple of months I decided to pause my hen do plans which would have happened this weekend and reschedule for early next year.

However, in between appointments my amazing friends surprised me this afternoon with a a mini hen pamper party this afternoon … 🥂✨🧖‍♀️

Feeling thoroughly spoilt, pampered and very, VERY lucky to have such gorgeous friends who know exactly how to make me smile! 🥰💗

A little bit of relaxation, lots of laughs, lovely food and some precious time together — just what the doctor ordered! 💆‍♀️🥂💖

Feeling very blessed and grateful for these wonderful ladies. It’s the little surprises (and the people behind them) that make life so special. 🫶💕

Hello lovely followers 💕

It’s come to my attention that some website enquiries have not been reaching me over the last couple of weeks, so if you have attempted to get in touch or booking an appointment and you haven’t had a response please drop me a line here or try again (issue now resolved).

🚨 I was once told I was “too big” to shop for a wedding dress.

Yep. A bridal shop actually said that to me.

And honestly? I’ve never forgotten it.

Back in 2008, I was a nervous size 22 bride-to-be, heading into Leicester with my trusty Maid of Honour, Michelle, excited to find the dress.

Instead, I got:

❌ “We don’t stock dresses in your size.”

And, unbelievably…

❌ “You’d be better off at our Birmingham store — there are lots of big women there like you.”

Ouch. 😳

My confidence took a battering, but I persevered and eventually found a wonderful boutique who made me feel fabulous. ❤️

But those experiences stayed with me. So much so that I started dreaming about opening my own bridal boutique — somewhere every bride could feel welcome, beautiful and completely at home.

The bank had other ideas back then, so the dream was shelved.

Fast forward to 2026…

Wedding number TWO was booked with the love of my life, Kris (the first one was obviously just the dress rehearsal 😉), and I found myself at Ferriss Bridal.

And guess what?

I tried on gorgeous dresses that ACTUALLY FIT ME. 🙌

I laughed, I twirled, I felt amazing — and yes, I found THE dress. 👰🏻‍♀️✨

Then Hannah announced Ferriss Bridal was closing.

And I thought…

“Absolutely not.”

Because suddenly, that old dream was sitting right in front of me.

So I took a rather large leap of faith… and here I am. 🥹❤️

The new owner of Ferriss Bridal, with one simple mission:

To make sure no bride ever feels like she doesn’t belong in a bridal shop.

If wedding dress shopping fills you with excitement — fabulous.

If it fills you with nerves, anxiety or the urge to hide under the duvet…

I’VE GOT YOU.

No judgement. Just beautiful gowns, honest advice, plenty of laughs and hopefully a little bridal magic. ✨

Today I made my very first trip to Bridal Week Harrogate… and WOW! 😍

I’ve been completely blown away by the stunning gowns, gorgeous accessories and all the exciting newness coming our way. And, well… I may have got a little carried away with the buying! 🙈👰‍♀️

There are lots of exciting things coming to Ferriss Bridal over the next few weeks and months, so keep your eyes peeled… 👀✨
