Our Sunday headliner is out on the road this weekend 🎻

Catch Seonaid Aitken at Leith Jazz and Blues Festival tomorrow if you're in Edinburgh — then join us in Biggar on 21 June when she brings her brand new band Manouche Nouveau to the Corn Exchange for something completely different.

Two very different shows. Both unmissable.

✨FREE FILM SCREENING✨

Biggar Django Festival hits our town 19-21 June.🎻

Ever wondered what Django Gypsy Swing is – also called Gypsy Jazz, Jazz Manouche and Hot Club Swing – and where it all began?

John Jeremy's landmark 1991 documentary 🎬 follows the living legacy of Django Reinhardt (1910 - 1953), the Romani guitarist who started it all – from camp sites in Holland and France to a guitar workshop in Paris, a pub in Liverpool and at Samois-sur-Seine, the French village where Django spent his final years and where there is now an annual guitar festival.

The film features Babik Reinhardt (Django's son), Biréli Lagrène, Boulou & Elios Ferré, Gary Potter, Serge Krief, Stochelo Rosenberg Trio, Jimmy Rosenberg, Paulus Schäfer, and a rare short clip of Django Reinhardt performing. Narrated by Sacha Distel.

Produced and Directed by John Jeremy. Don't miss your only chance to see this remastered film on the big screen — shared with a crowd of fellow Django lovers.
