Ran the last Fabled Session at the end of June. A small group built a place from nothing: someone drew the map, someone filled it with people, someone worked out the factions and who secretly runs them.

No plan going in. By the end there was a town on the table that none of us walked in with.

The next one is Wednesday 29 July, 8–10pm, at Highfield Community Centre.

Same shape: three tables, pen and paper, collaborative worldbuilding. Sit at the map, the people, or the factions, move between them, or just start somewhere and see what happens. No experience needed. Come alone or bring someone.

£10, booked in advance. Book once, see if it's your kind of thing. No commitment to come back.

The next Fabled Session is Wednesday 24 June, 8pm to 10pm, at Highfield Community Centre.

The town is still growing. Across the last few sessions a fictional place has been built up table by table: its map, the groups that run it, the people who live there. Some of it was made together, some of it by people who came in, sat down, and worked on their own world entirely. Both built the room.

This one runs the same way. Add to the town or bring your own thing. The cards on each table let you set whether you want to talk or focus, so you can do either without having to explain yourself.

Seated and pre-booked, £10 in advance, capacity 12. No experience needed, no commitment, each session stands on its own.

The reason you have not made space for yourself might genuinely not be down to you.

Kids who need more attention than expected. A caring role that does not stop. A job that follows you home.

These are not excuses. They are real shapes that real time gets forced into.

The question worth sitting with: is any part of this actually yours to change, or does it just feel like it should be?

If no one is allowing you to do your thing, the logic follows: maybe you are not supposed to. Maybe you are not valuable enough to have your own life.

That conclusion arrives quietly. Most people never notice it was a conclusion at all.
