Hello everyone!👋

Our shop is now for sale. We’ve got lots of stock to clear and will be holding open days soon. We have everything from pots, ribbons, boxes and florist sundries to dried flowers, gifts and furniture. 💐

This is a “tussie mussie” a small bouquet of flowers, often with herbs, historically used for its scent and symbolism. The term combines "tussie" (a bunch of flowers) with "mussie" (from moss, which was used to keep the stems fresh). Originally worn to mask odors, they became a popular accessory, especially in the Victorian era, where their arrangements could communicate messages through the language of flowers.

This was made for me by the very clever Nicky of our local florist “tussie mussie” Nicky and her family run business is closing today after many many years to finally enjoy some much earned retirement . They have been a mainstay in the town especially the street I am in .

I want to wish them all the very best for the future and a massive thank you for their help and friendship over the years .

We will all miss you Nicky , Aimee , Charlee and Holly 🌺 x

🌸 Our Final Week at Tussie Mussie Flowers 🌸

It’s hard to believe this is our last week trading after so many wonderful years. We can’t thank you all enough for your love and support — it’s meant the world to us. 💕

While fresh flower orders are coming to an end, we still have so many lovely things looking for new homes — floristry sundries, furniture, shelving, vases, props, and more.
