What a difference a year makes.
Thank you to Joe Heron for repairing the broken fence.
Thank you to the Community Payback Team for clearing the overgrown foliage.
Thank you Alan Hardy for the numerous free trailer , removing and disposing of the foliage, delivering trailers of top soil.
Thank you Allison an Phillip Carruthers for donating Terran ,top soil and stone chippings.
The Community Payback team layed the terrain and moved the soil and chippings .
Thank you to Robin Sparshott and family for removing a overhanging tree.
Thank you to Cumberland Council for the Investment grant, this allowed us to purchase some benches and planters.
A final thank you to Hannah at Groundwork/Workington Green Community hub for sourcing the Hawthorn Hedging and all who helped with the planting.
Community Spirt very much alive in High Harrington.

24 new items added to shared album

The committee wanted to improve the access to the Community Centre and thanks to a grant from Nucular Waste Services we were able to replace the old uneven paths at the Main entrance and the Fire Exit at the rear of the building. We also replaced the surface of the existing parking area.
Thank you to Jason Flynn from the grants team for your help and support and Toman Construction for completing the work.

Wow look at our new kitchen thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund and all you guys that play. We would like to say a big thank you to Graham Messenger for fitting the kitchen with his little helpers Will and Celean, we would also like to thank Mark Jones and his little helper Vic for doing the worktops, and last but not least thank you to the probation team for the painting 👏

Before and After . The Comittee and users of the Centre would like to thank Workington Town Council for giving us a Community Service Grant , this allowed us to buy the materials to give the Centre a much needed make over. Thank you to the Community Payback Team for all the hard work in completing our project.
