Hi, I’m Gemma and I would to welcome you to Yoga Hen. I have been running Yoga and mindfulness classes for about 10 years now and I have a real passion for spreading the positive affects of yoga. I specialise in memorable, tailor made classes and yoga based events for groups, birthdays and hen parties in the East Sussex area.

Some FAQ’s

Location:
I am based in Hailsham and will happily take my little Honda anywhere within a 40 km radius.

Prices:
60 min classes, groups of:
1-10 £110
11-18 £150

75 min classes, groups of:
1-10 £135
11-18 £185

90 min classes, groups of:
1-10 £160
11-18 £200

A well rounded fun class including some nice rest at the end should be 75minutes.

Equipment:
I can supply you with up to 18 yoga mats if needed

Weather:
If your event is outside, it’s best to have a back up area for yoga. At a pinch this could even be two rooms that adjoin.

Otherwise make sure you have towels to hand 🙂

Studio Locations,
I have a number of local studios and halls I use, so if you want to bring your group to me, that’s possible too.

Experience:
No previous yoga experience is necessary, however it is very beneficial for me to chat to you beforehand and get an idea of your groups general experience, and needs.

Numbers:
I can teach up to 18 students in one session if you have more than that (lucky you!) it’s best to do two separate sessions so that everyone gets the most out of the classes

Cancellation: 1 week before for full refund, after which, a refund will not be offered.

Payment : 50% of the fee to secure your date and the remainder 1 week before.

Types of classes to choose from for your event (we can mix and match too)

Acro
This sounds intimidating I know, but I promise it’s not. It’s a fun, dynamic and lively yoga practice where we warm up with traditional yoga movements, all geared towards one or two ‘acro moves’.
This is where you will get to ‘fly’ (body off the ground) or base (body on the ground) with a partner.
These classes are accessible to most people and in my experience it’s the people who are unsure about it that tend to love it the best.
Plus plenty of opportunity for great photos

Partner yoga
As it sounds, we breathe with a partner, move with and possibly even lie on top of a (willing!) partner.
We’ll do traditional yoga positions together and see what shifts.
We’re also able to do the same practice solo, without any fuss, so if you’ve had a bit to drink the night before or if the shower in the cape site/villa isn’t working, no bother.

Traditional yoga
This is the kind of of accessible yoga you’d see in a studio class, we’ll be coming across down dogs, chataranga’s, warrior 2 and triangle’s galore as well as a short meditation and lots of lively focused warm up.

Soft yoga
Perfect if the night before was a party night, this class sees us visiting soothing mobilisation, restorative stretches and maybe even a quiet yogic sleep (called nidra)
