Georgie B burst onto the scene in the late 1970s as a founding member of the UK jazz-funk band Second Image, where he served as percussionist and lead vocalist. The group gained traction within the Brit-funk movement, sharing stages with iconic acts like Incognito, Central Line, Beggar & Co, and Light of the World .
• Collaborations & Live Work
After his time with Second Image, Georgie B continued forging a vibrant career. He collaborated with notable artists including Womack & Womack, Jean Carn, MAZE (featuring Frankie Beverly), and even Rod Temperton—writer of hits like “Thriller” and “Rock With You”—as well as working with Paul Weller, Heatwave, Dawn Joseph, Reel 2 Reel, and others  .
• The Groove Association & Solo Success
In 2011, Georgie launched The Groove Association, a personal project where he could collaborate with emerging artists under his wing . His debut solo album, Let’s Break the Ice (2012), reached the UK Soul Chart top 5 .
Follow-up albums like 3AM and Soul Family Affair soared to No. 1 in the UK Soul and Independent Soul Charts, earning him accolades such as Best UK Soul Artist/Group and Best UK Soul Album in the Soul Survivor Magazine awards  .
• Recent Highlights
• His fifth and sixth studio albums—It’s Been So Long (2020) and Reflection (2022)—both landed at #1 on the UK Soul Chart, further affirming his enduring popularity .
